If Trump loses the election, the odds of prison are high. Maybe his lawyers can argue the Alzheimer's as a reason not to imprison him. In fact, after November 5, I give Trump maybe a year before he is institutionalized.

Putin was not popular when he took power, he was actually poorly known, and seen as a placeholder for Yeltsin.

 

It took a long time for Putin to entrench himself. Even his Chechen War wasn't popular at first.

The range of English vocabulary in this little passage is simply astounding. "lunatics, dogs, kangaroos,felon" sounds like something that makes the daily round of a jailcell block. The qualifier "rabid" comes to mind. Good homegrown stuff from the fertile soil that has been Trump stomping grounds for the last few campaigns..

But the worms are getting few and far between for the home stretch, and the master behaves more zombie-like as the days go near.
