  • Come on.  You know darn well he was talking about a live audience of which there was none.  Either he was lying--again--or totally delusional.

Yes 100%. In my opinion he started to fade in the last year of his presidency. He may have had a minor stroke. Since then, it has been a steady downhill path. Far less coherent than in the past, very

As its Fun Friday !

Some expert opinions on Trump having dementia, (passed down from his father, like his wealth).

Trump Not Having Dementia:
Dr Ronny Jackson, (or Johnson according to Trump):    The Candyman

Trump Having Dementia:
Suzanne Lachmann:  New York psychologist
John Gartner: Psychologist and former professor at Johns Hopkins University Medical School
Dr. Lance Dodes: A supervising analyst emeritus of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and retired Harvard Medical School professor

Justin Frank: Former Professor of Psychiatry at George Washington Medical School
Vincent Greenwood: Executive director of the Washington Center For Cognitive Therapy
Harry Segal: Senior lecturer at Cornell University and Weill Cornell Medical School

Over 700 mental health experts submitted a petition to Congress warning of Trump’s declining mental health.

So where were these when doddering Joe was runninthe country and you didnt really even need to have a degree to know he was spaced out every time opened his mouth

You make some good points in your post and I would like to add something, even if it is going off on a tangent very slightly, because someone who has dementia/lost the plot/has senile decay is highly likely to be swayed by strong people in his immediate circle who have their own viewpoints to push.

For example: –Former independent presidential candidate and antivaccine advocate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that former President Trump wants him to choose leaders for key public health agencies if he wins the election in November…Kennedy and Trump previously talked about conspiracy theories related to the toxicity of childhood vaccines in a video posted to social media earlier this year!!
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4887585-rfk-jr-trump-fda-nih-cdc/

So it could be possible that the anti-vax and conspiracy theorist Robert F Kennedy is in charge of a key public health agency. That would be an absolute joke and would be damaging to the health system in the USA.

In addition: –The presence of hard-right conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer alongside Donald Trump on the campaign trail in recent days has raised questions, including from some Republicans, about the influence the controversial former congressional candidate may have on him.

Ms Loomer is well-known for her anti-Muslim rhetoric and for spreading conspiracy theories, including that the 9/11 attacks were an "inside job" carried out by the US government.

So a Kennedy nut job and antivax and conspiracy theorist, along with hard right conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer, who thinks the 9/11 attacks were carried out by the US government, could hold sway on government policies.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Yes. What could possibly go wrong with a room full of insane and extremist people running the government?

Telling statement from the linked article:

MAGA is a big part of the problem, by applauding and cheering Trump’s deeply disturbed and disturbing behaviour:
(Don't have to look too hard to find examples of that).

https://kenmcgoogan.com/2024/05/17/trump-dementia-collective-pathology/

That article has scared me more that anything else I have read about Trump.

The Trump lovers, Trump's supporters, MAGA supporters and even some posters here on AN will not believe it, and STILL want Trump to be president, and that is what scares me the most.

AFAICS it was written by many people who are specialists with years of training and experience in dementia and collated by Mike Burch.

If they are correct, (and they have decades of experience), then Trump would be far better off, (as would the USA) if he simply quit standing for election, quit public life and retired to live the remainder of his life in peace.

Even if Trump was thinking about his TV audience, he confused his point by saying he talked to them. This is precisely the behavior of someone with Alzheimer's.

are you a doctor or an idiot.? ah, i thought. you need a podium otherwise you get crazy

From the link I supplied in another post:

Dr. Gartner told DeVega that Joe Biden’s occasional gaffes “are well within the normal limits of aging.” Trump, however, appears to be showing gross signs of dementia. This is what Dr. Gartner told DeVega, verbatim:

Note dementia.

Slightly crazy, as with all of us.

Not as bad as Biden's, but he is certainly declining fast.  Fortunately, it looks like he won't win the election in November. 🙏

Dream on.

With Biden out of race you got now a younger brain dead in his place. The spin Demos with Trumps age turn the table using his age, rambling as a sign of dementia .

Every day in the same spot there are negative comments about Trump. It seems so orchestrated I wonder if China or some other entity like USA Democrats are behind this. Very glad the election will be over soon. Neither candidate is ideal but Harris is totally incompetent and has done nothing since she became VP.

Can you break down all of Mike Pence's accomplishments as VP?

Brain dead , you should ask those she prosecuted ffs Hell ask Trump how stupid she is , he got his ass handed to him at debate , after Biden stepped down he was terrified and he still is he mentions Biden nonstop

The way Trump rambles and goes off on tangents is one sign. Confusing people, such as Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi, is another.

Trump does struggle to find the right words, and pronounce them correctly. He's got the mood swings.

It's hard to say how far advanced his dementia is.

IMO Pence's finest achievement was refusing to abandon his duty to the Constitution, in the face of Trump's pressure and a feral mob wanting to hang him.

GOP got what they wish. I dont need to ask her she is from my CIty and State I know her history far betyer than you.

The debate because of yes Trump ego and constant rambling Harris look better if you think she won that is your opinion but from my Independent perspective she didnt answer one question and as noted the debate was one side rigged.

Even if it wasnt both sides as always claim winning in this situation unless they can settle on a fair debate I dont blame him.

Terrified when it comes to that are you kidding and that comes from someone who isnt a Trump supporter.

Well I truly believe that and I think that it did show that the man had some honor and respect for law. However as we know, vice presidents just don't do that much, so my point is that anyone faulting Harris for being an ineffectiveness VP, either doesn't know much about American politics, or is just mimicking the GOP meme.

I don't disagree the role of VP is usually very limited in comparison to Presidential power.
