I entered through Suwannaphum on 23 Oct. Nobody had to fill one in. Have they been consigned to history?

The land crossing from Ban Pha Kéo/Lao PDR to Phudoo/Uttaradit/Thailand still insists on TM6 - so different borders, different protocol!

I still have mine from 2020 and doing my 90 days last week at Jomtien Immigration there was still a place for Arrival card.

When I fly from Siem Reap to Thailand, no TM6 has to be completed at DMK.

When I drive from Siem Reap to Thailand via the Choam - Sisaket land border I have to complete a form TM6.

What don't you understand.

Entry via air NO TM6 required.

Entry via land SOME crossings Do require TM6. (simple quick form to fill in)

OP, added note....some forms and even things like online reporting may still have a field for the TM6.

Just ignore it. Leave blank

The retirement extension TM 7 form has a TM 6 field.

And you ignore it.

The field is currently not required.

Along with TM47 etc

Did you read thread. No

While you are probably the successor to UbonJoe (RIP), I'd suggest you could use some of his patience with posters.

Bit off topic but good chance to acknowledge the great man ubonjoe.

I'm not even remotely can be described as expert.

Many guys better than my knowledge on this forum

Might be temporarily only and TM6 might come back in the future.

🙂

So, they don't care about one's address anymore? (In the past they were, at times, very insistent on having the exact hotel address on the TM6.)

... and the space to put the address was tiny relative to Thai addresses.  I used to hand the IO a business-card for my condo building, and they were visibly relieved to have a legible source, which they seemed to input into their system.

I would suggest anyone entering have a printed address to show an IO, if asked.

For my marriage extensions I still have to submit signed copies of my card from my last entry in 2011!

Mr Briggsy,

you are very far behind the time. Arrival cards are since long time not in use anymore. You are, as many farangs. very poor informed about comming to Thailnd.

As has already been mentioned, some land border crossings still require them.  My wife had to complete one at Chom Mek a month ago.

As a rule of thumb, if you do have an arrival card, immigration still expects you to fill in the number and provide copies. As it's recorded in their system.

Last year, they also insisted on signed copies of the 90-day next due date slip.

When I asked why, and what rule applied, they got quite nasty and decided I needed more house photos and other BS documents.

I now play along with their silly games.

They're getting high tech, I flew out of Swampy 5 weeks ago, I was ushered by a very friendly smiling young woman to an e-passport auto gate, no need to line up at an immigration counter and no need to get an exit stamp in my PP.

I've seen that when I've filled in the TM 7 form, but since I never had a TM 6 I couldn't fill it in. It'll take a while before all the old forms are used up, and it's just as likely they'll simply print out more of the same without changing it if it's still needed in some cases, and even when it isn't.

Anyone had a red light at exit autogate? Would you have to be on overstay or possibly flagged for something else?

Or just a faulty or misread chip in your passport.
