Carlosm Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Normally i get an email reminding me to do my 90 day report. This time there was no reminder and i've missed it by a month. Tried doing it online but in vain telling me to report to my immigration office in person immediately. So, what can i expect ?, first time in 25 years but that won't help. 1
DrJack54 Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 When is next extension due. You have two options. Wait till you have business with immigration or go anytime suitable. The fine does not accumulate as does overstay. The fine will be 2k Rule #1 don't rely on reminder email. Put date into your Google calendar 1 1

There won't be any issue. Do the extension first and then the TM47. If extension io not happy with no 90 report receipt show him your filled in application that intend to file after extension. 1

Immigration will charge you 2k for late TM47 even if miss more than one. They cut me off finishing my well thought out reason and pointed to the 90 day report desk. Went over, said itslate, he pointed to the 2000 fine message and i showed him the money. Did my 90 day report, he asked me about my extension of stay then he printed me 2 copies so i didn't have. Nice guy, no fuss. 😏 2 1

My 90 day report clearly states, keep in passport, and maybe you passport doesn't get intentionally checked for the report, but passports get checked for some reason all the time. 1 3

I haven't printed off my TM47 receipt since I've been doing it on line, which is about 4 years now. And I've never had my passport checked other than at immigration since I've been here, which is over 10 years. I'm sure the only reason they say you should keep it in your passport is that it serves as a reminder. to you when the next report is due. When you report on line they'll remind you by email anyway. 1 3

I myself haven't worn a motorbike helmet for over 30 years, and never been stopped or had an accident, though daily people get checked and fined for it, and lots of people die because of no helmet. Now back on topic. The reason you have to keep it in the passport has nothing to do with a reminder, because the passport doesn't notify you on the due date, and people who don't do it online also don't receive an email. The reason is that if (I admit rare event), your passport get checked, you can prove you did the report. 2

The only people who have the remotest interest in whether you have done your 90 day report are immigration. And unless you're one of those who do their 90 report the old fashioned way, they will only see your passport at extension time, once a year. For the last 4 years at least, I have done mine on line and I have never printed the receipt. However it has never been an issue when I have reported in to do my extension. It hasn't even been mentioned. I have therefor come to the not unreasonable conclusion that it is not necessary have in my passport. 1

My Phitsanulok Immigration stopped stapling the receipt in the passport quite a while back, and now use paper clips. IF they DO use a staple, CAREFULLY remove it, pop into 7/11 and buy some clips for about Bht 10, and they will last you longer than the passport will. 1

losable Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I missed my 90 day report for the first time as I bought a new phone and my calender wasn't imported. It is now over 6 months, since I did my last report, as it would require hassle during the festive period. Would appreciate to know what the fine etc will be when I go to jomtien immigration later next week?

The only people checking my passport(s) have been immigration people at airports and the infrequent hokey-pokey at the immigration office. Hotels, car rental shops and airlines check them more often, but they're not checking them for the 90-day report status, are they?
