Fema worker said it was common practice. “Its wasn’t a isolated incident “

The accused said shes is being hung out to dry.

Based on what we've seen with this regime, that would not surprise me one bit. In fact, it would be in character

Full story - one individual, repudiated by the agency.

But don't let that fact get in the way of your outrage.

I've WORKED with FEMA folks before, but there's no way this is any sort of policy, written or unwritten. I didn't read the article considering the source, the headline was enough to know it was a bullsh!t hit piece.

Yeah and the usual big government fascists will come out and defend FEMA

Some posters can't read beyond a headline, it taxes their attention span too much.

And some posters aren't smart enough to comprehend an entire response, it taxes their little lizard brains too much.

Probably worried about being shot when they knocked on the door because of right wing paranoia about looting. Especially if the worker is black.

Then they should find a more suitable line of work.

“This targeted discrimination is a clear abuse of government power and suggests a deeper, systemic issue within FEMA. While I fully support Governor DeSantis’ call for a deeper dive into FEMA’s practices here in Florida, given these new allegations, we need to determine how widespread this politicized behavior is within the agency. As a reminder, President Biden dismissed concerns about FEMA, calling them “misinformation.”

Right now we don't know how the "Loyalty Oath" will be sworn / actioned. One would think that swearing the OATH to Defend and Protect the Constitution would be sufficient, rather than also demanding a sworn Oath to an individual. Reminds me when trump was in power the Cabinet members were belittled by trump quite nauseating.

So you know nothing about it but you are trashing Trump.

Why would he want appointees that were not loyal to him?

I am happy he is being more careful about who he appoints.

You seen a bit gullible.

Leftist are resisting ! The one thing

he learned from his first Administration , put your trust in God and loyalty as opposed to The Washington Establishment!

I wonder if Biden knew about the efforts to not help Americans citizens?

I doubt Biden knew. It makes no sense . Too much down-side and no upside.

There are a lot of hateful people in government agencies. A-holes with power. They’ll shut you down and laugh about it.

The naïveté is breathtaking here.

Not naive but willfully disingenuous. Very common and well documented here among the blues.

Got an actual cogent reason why this may have happened even if it's a single person and an isolated case? Assuming they aren't a complete nut job there has to be a rational motive.

You'd wish it were like that but even people you hate are more rational than that. I'd suggest the stand your ground laws might have prompted this reaction. After a disaster some folks might think black people were looters. On their own property they are free to shoot anyone.

One would think the Oath to support & defend Constitution is far more important than an oath of loyalty, which to be open really does sound pathetic Dear Leader stuff

They will have to swear their oath to support and defend the Constitution as well,  and that will override anything they swear to Trump.

And you/we still have not seen any such oath, correct?

Do you think average Americans are going to drag other Americans out of their homes and deport them because Trump said to? If you believe that you are delusional.

We’re not like the people in Amsterdam.

There is not one single jurisdiction anywhere in the United States where homeowners are "free to shoot anyone" just for being on their property.

This is the left twisting the scandal!

Its was a  disaster in Florida, North Carolina!

Yes,Many have guns !

Quick solution is to bring Law Enforcement or National Guard to accompany Fema to each site!

There is gonna be a investigation ! The Accused is angry and wants to make it clear what went on!

The NYPost is hardly an objective or unbiased source. That aside, after FEMA pulled out of several counties in NC fearing anti-govt activists, it is easy to see how some would be cautious. Who knows what the broader strategy was talk to the neighbors and build a consensus? No need to assault the home to see if they need help, get the neighbors to ask.

From first google search page as above:

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/article295488794.html

On previous deployments, Washington said she has told her team to avoid any streets where multiple homes had been verbally abusive to FEMA canvassers — including properties that featured signs for the Harris campaign, and homes with no signage at all.

On the Milton deployment, Washington said, roughly 20 homes were identified as hostile after canvassers experienced verbal “aggression.” “We omitted these homes for safety precautions, not because of political plight. Like, no one cares about that. We want to make sure people can register,” Washington said.

“You have to understand, when we go out here in the field, we don’t have security detail. We do not have police detail. We are all we have in the field.”

Yep, there's always the far right distortion and then the truth. Sadly, it's always too late because the tin foil hats will stick to the first story like excrement to a blanket and nothing will shift them.
