Just watched this.

They define Elon Musk as an Oligarch. And he donated 200 million to Trump campaign.

In exchange, he wants the govt to back up all his projects. Driverless cars, Neuralink, etc ..

At 6:54, Musk is planning to cut the budget by 2 Trillion dollars.

So it might actually be horrible for people who are struggling.

Trumps oligarchs are better than bill gates, george soros, etc…

i dont know why leftists decry musks role as a bad thing, the guy is smarter than anyone currently in the government

Musk is a smart businessman. His grasp of politics and human relations is infantile. He himself admits that he suffers from Asperger's.

For someone to be a career politician is usually enough of a red flag of their intentions. The goal is to have an uncorrupt government

Much more damaging than a clown.

He threatens the future of American democracy.

I can't help if you don't bother to look into this. The threat is real.

Not very democratic when government jobs are filled with not the best qualified, but based on race, sexual lifestyles, etc., etc.  Hawaiian is a prime example where anyone with a drop of Hawaiian blood gets preferential treatment.  Over eight hundred programs targeting Native Hawaiians and they still aren't satisfied.

Look no further.

Yes hiring based on qualification is ideal but the opposite of ideal is hiring based on blind loyalty to a dictator.

Top political appointments, maybe. The rest? It's a crap shoot.  For sure, the deck has recently been stacked against white males and in favor of the DEI hires. I worked for the government on four or five occasions stretching back to 1979 or so.  And fortunately for me, the people hiring me always figured out a way to skip all the nonsense and hire who they thought was the best qualified. Twice, I was sitting at home minding my own business and they called me up and asked me if I wanted a job,  All I had to do was submit an application and the Human Resources people did the rest. I've seen them play games from the inside as well.  A certain person wants a job? No problem. They post the job, knowing full well well who they are going to hire. A few weeks later, the person they want shows up, installed in her new office. And the hundreds of other epode who applied never had a chance.

Maybe that's just business as usual.  It pays to network.

By dictator, are you referring to anyone in particular?

In Hawaii, for many years job ads specifically called out what ethnic group they were hiring.

This only stopped when federal anti discrimination laws were enacted.

You forgot 'carried interest' a favorite of hedge fund managers like Ken Griffin, Bill Ackman and John Paulson, that allows those multi-billionaires to avoid taxes on their gains. Does anybody think those guys think 47 is some kind of wonder boy 'stable genius'? They know he's a self-serving idiot who understands nothing except the price it takes to buy favors from him when he yields power and authority.

Trump said during his first term that he tried to get rid of carried interest but "they" wouln't let him do it, thus admitting he's working for someone else.
