An incident unfolded in broad daylight on November 15 when a 15 year old teenager attacked a rescue volunteer with a screwdriver at a convenience store on Pracha Uthit Road, Thung Khru District, Bangkok. The young assailant, identified as "Tarn", admitted to the attack, explaining that he was under the influence of cannabis at the time.

At approximately 15:20, police from the Ratchburana Station responded to reports of an altercation at the convenience store, located opposite the entrance to Soi Pracha Uthit 43. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a group of locals gathered around the scene. Several rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation were also present, restraining the teenager who was holding a long screwdriver.

According to witnesses, the teen first entered the store earlier in the day and began a confrontation a 39 year old female volunteer, Ms. Monthira Srimadee. Tarn allegedly yelled at her, saying, "Why are you looking at me?" despite no prior interaction. After a brief exchange of words, he pulled out the screwdriver from his waistband and lunged at her. Fortunately, Ms. Monthira and her partner were able to dodge the attack, escaping injury, but did mot report the event.

However, the situation escalated later in the afternoon when the same assailant returned to the convenience store and attacked a second rescue volunteer with the same weapon. Tarn once again confronted the volunteer, but this time, the volunteer was able to evade the attack and assist in restraining the teen. The police were called and arrived to take Tarn into custody.

During questioning at the Ratchburana Police Station, Tarn admitted to the attacks, attributing his actions to being under the influence of cannabis. In an act of leniency, the rescue volunteers chose not to press charges, citing their concern for Tarn's family. As a result, police issued a warning, making it clear that any future incidents would lead to strict legal action.
