We used to get them in the garden occasionally too. Not seen one for many years now though, probably because of the smoke. 1 1

I recall something similar many years ago and luckily it was on the floor of my shower. So I drowned it. But it took about 10 flippin' minutes! Like a horror movie it wouldn't quit. I really felt like I had murdered something after that. That's why I don't think something basic like a swat with a magazine will kill it and I'm skeptical about spraying it as well. I need more fire power but I forgot to pack my AK47. Jingthing enjoys torturing and killing beautiful, harmless animals? Sadly not surprising. 🤦♂️ 1 1 2

A giant roach or beetle? Could it be a bat? So days ago I opened a screen door and this monster flew n! High floor Condo. Perhaps attracted to light or warmth compared to outside. First action was to try to encourage it to exit the same place it entered with a cheeky broom. It was not having it! It spread it's wingspan very wide and seemed to be attacking me back. So that won't work. Leaving the screen open doesn't work as it likes being inside. So day and night it mostly just sits in one place but sometimes moves to a new place. Sometimes it's very visible as it's massive and other times its hidden. So far I've been able to block it out of my bedroom. As it's so big and so aggressive if bothered I'm not sure what to do. I don't think swatting it with a magazine will work. If it positions in a way where I can trap it in a large plastic container I'll probably try that but expect it to detect the danger so not confident that will work. Perhaos spray it with something that will cripple it's wings? Soap? Something else? It's soooooo incredibly dangerous you could die if you spend more than a few hours breathing in the same air when it's in the same room. If I were you, I'd leave this place and go find somewhere else to live immediately. 4 1

Just by breathing the same air as you, they transmit rabies, covid and H5N1. Leave this place asap, drink 2 gallons of methanol and take a bath in 100%bleach. 1 3
Popular Post EVENKEEL Posted Saturday at 03:30 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 03:30 PM Take a plastic bag, with 2 hands cover the creature till it flies into the bags. Close said bag and release the creature outside. I've done this many times with flying creatures in the house. 4

bendejo Posted yesterday at 03:19 AM Posted yesterday at 03:19 AM It's a baby Mothra. The tiny princesses will be looking for it, expect some Japanese folks to come knocking. I saw this movie when it came out, it made me scared of moths for a few years.
CanadaSam Posted yesterday at 03:34 AM Posted yesterday at 03:34 AM Totally harmless moth. Quite rare. Please don't harm it. Best idea was to turn off indoor lights, put on outdoor ones, leave window/door open. 1 1

Yes I know the word gaggle isn't for moths. Anyway, update on this. I did try try the above method. But it was hidden at the time. So either it took the bait to split or it's still with me. That's hardly closure. I'll be expecting it to pop up anytime. Edited 16 hours ago by Jingthing

Something tells me the ganja shop is way too close to where you live. If you actually don't know what a moth looks like there's something seriously missing.
Gandtee Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago A giant Offendus moth. Its main object in life is to frighten the brown stuff out of lily-livered homo erectus.

I haven't seen one of those for about 4 years. https://www.thewildlifediaries.com/moths-of-thailand/ You Dems still resorting to insulting the majority of the population of the US, even on a post about moths! When I was in the Brit army in Borneo, we were nice to the local tribes and managed to get them on our side, you lefties ought to try the hearts and minds thing yourselves. Might give you a chance at the next election.

I don't think Connda is a Dem, judging by his posts. The OP, on the other hand, was terrified by the innocuous moth and wanted to KILL it as he's killed other harmless, defenseless insects. He, judging by his posts, leans left wokey Dem. Edited 4 hours ago by Woke to Sounds of Horking CLARITY 1
