Donald Trump has NO mandate -- not for his election and not for his extremist policies

If a black hole consumes the solar system it'll be Trump's fault.

They'll be crying that it's fake news, that there's no proof that holes of colour illegally invading the galaxy are eating the solar systems!

  • Noted. Lol Much of what trump wants to do has mainstream support anyway. Just because you don't think it is a mandate it was still wholesale repudiation of the nutty wokesters.

As well as a testament to how awful a candidate word-salad Harris was.

You can't know that.   Maybe that's exactly what the majority of sane Americans want.

Yeah, the OP has trouble accepting Democracy. He lost, got his precious ego shattered by Trump and is throwing a hissy fit here. Unseemly behavior.

Democracy has winners and losers. Losers need to man up and cry in private, not burden us with their drama. Trump won the popular vote in a crushing victory. He's earned the right to govern.

Trump, or any other politician for that matter, has a mandate to do what he (or she) stated as his (or her) intention in pre-election public speeches.  Subject of course to constitutional constraints.

Candidates for the Presidency are selected by vested interests.

After which the public is free to vote for one or other of the selected candidates, under tremendous MSM propaganda as to how they should cast their votes.

Is it being suggested here that, when one or other has been elected to the Presidency, the person in question must ignore their election platform and conform to some other agenda?

[Of course we know this is all too common in practice]

It's common for politicians to say anything they think will get them elected. IMO getting their snouts into the public purse is all they care about.

It's not that they conform to some other agenda, rather that they abandon any agenda.

Trump is somewhat different as being very wealthy he has no need to hog in the public purse. Unlike some well known recent presidents, he will not commence his presidency as being merely wealthy, and ending immensely wealthy. He is already immensely wealthy.

Jing you are correct of course.

But look at it this way:

Even if all the numbers were reversed and Hartis won by the same narrow popular vote margin that Trump did his supporters, especially on this platform, would still be saying that he had a mandate for his policies  since the margin was so close.

There is no point in pointing out the blind dedication his supporters have by using facts: that will never work for this crowd.

When seen from afar, it is difficult to tell the difference between a sane person and an idiot.

Let time go by and see how the sycophants feel in a year when inflation roars and taxes go up.

The usual hysteria and distortion. Trump said nothing about any "goal" to be bloody.

The reality is that getting all those criminal gang members, drug dealers, rapists, and thugs, at least, out of the USA will surely be bloody, yes, just as eradicating Hamas is bloody. Not all will go quietly and they have guns. So be it.

Man accused of shooting NYPD officers charged, claims guns are being smuggled into NYC migrant shelters

So shoot them first..
