Sin sod is for the parents, not the wife. Normally when a farang marries a Thai wife he is expected to support her, not swan off around the world without her and contributing as little as possible.

That sounds strange to me.

What is the idea about getting kids for as cheap as possible? Then, what do you do with the kid(s)? Who will raise them? Who will pay for their school? Will they have only a father or also a mother?

As far as I see raising kids properly is expensive, also in Thailand. Just the school fees for decent schools are scary. Keeping those future costs in mind 100k or 1m for the "production" of the kids is just a small part of the all over cost.
