This. We've already seen that he's just trying to slap his name on what is already happening, as he did after a phone call with the president of Mexico, claiming that he got her to do something by threatening tariffs when in reality she was just describing existing policy. 

 

I have not seen a single Trump idea that is a good idea, except maybe no more time changes. Every proposal he has is likely to cause more inflation, and he's even hedging now on bring it down. Remember when Trump wrote COVID checks to every American and insisted his name be on them?  Estimates are that those checks increased inflation by 2.6%. There is an argument that this injection of cash avoided a bigger crisis, but the inflation is (in part) the US economy paying the piper. Them dems also love spending money, but MAGAs should stop pretending that it was Biden alone who caused inflation.
