My US daughters have tattoos, which has nothing to do with those in Thailand, as everyone who understands the culture here knows. Those who have tattoos here are looked at as sex workers. In western countries it's regular everyday girls that get them. Or are you assuming that my daughters were prostitutes?

 

From many of your earlier posts, you seem to think most normal people in relationships are the strange ones. Not being able to find a normal woman would make some think that all women are on the take, which they aren't. You promote prostitution by sticking for it. Being with so many sex workers, do you not realize, percentage wise, there's a high chance you've been with one who's been sold into the trade? Trafficked from another country.Or maybe an under aged illegal one.  Try not assuming, and research more.

I know exactly what I think and what I do. Yes, I try to be polite and respect others. I only look down on narcissistic people who intentionally hurt others, especially women and children. I don't expect anyone else to think like me. Many just happen to do that already. You're assuming again.

Canada has a similar law. Age of consent is(was?) 16. But if you go out of Canada and have sex with someone under 18 you will be arrested with significant jail time.

I'm always amused when people comment on anything about the US without even visiting, let alone living there for a time. They go by videos and word of mouth on others who might have stayed there a week, and are experts on everything from food to criminal activities, from a woman's size to politics. True  but It's a little more involved than that    .........The age of consent in Texas is 17 years old.....: 

Definition

A person under the age of 17 is considered a child under Texas Penal Code § 21....

Legal consequences

Engaging in sexual activity with a minor before age 17 is illegal and can lead to criminal charges.....

Penalties

If convicted, the adult could face severe penalties and social stigma...

Romeo and Juliet law

No, it's an answer a person who actually knows more than videos would post. I get daily news worldwide, so I miss very little of what's going on in America. Some voted for Trump, mainly because Kamala was weak and came from a previous administration that didn't do much. Time will tell. And assuming you know Americans because they're "loud" means nothing. I've heard many Brits, Thais, Germans and others be loud also, but I don't judge because assuming isn't my thing. You also can't assume what others think, meaning no one. Don't believe half of what you see and none of what you hear, unless proven by facts is a wiser choice. Also, yes, foreigners do want things to be like home, because at home things just might be better. A whole lot better, which can be seen daily in almost every facet of life. This is still a developing country, and almost everything Thais use comes from somewhere else. There's a reason for that.

Another typical American answer. I enjoy my life in Thailand. I am sure I wouldn't enjoy it in the USA, with all those Americans around me. One of the biggest problems for those Americans is to somehow understand that not everybody wants to be just like them.

This is a misinterpretation of body language. Most Americans carry themselves with more confidence than most folks from other parts of the world, that is how to spot a typical American. Most Americans are blunt outspoken irreverent and say it like it is. I come across a lot of folks here from different parts of the world, say hi to an American stranger and their response is always Hi! Howzit going! and most the time a conversation ensues, the same with most Thais for that matter. Rarely get a response from Europeans, kinda weird, confidence lacking.
