I'm currently here on a 90 day Non-Immigrant O visa (aged 55).  I have an appointment with Koh Samui immigration on 2nd Jan.  The 90 days is valid until 4th Jan.  I'm looking to extend. Should I be following the requirements for number 22. Request for extension of stay - in the case of living in the later years on the immigration website. This appears to be the only relevant extension of stay based on my circumstances.

If so, the relevant application is the TM7?  am i correct with all of this or miles away 😬

Well yes it's a TM7 form for 12 months extension.

The fee for extension is 1900b

So your non O is based on retirement?

You plan to apply for extension using money in bank method?

Have you seasoned 800k for 2 months prior to application for extension?

Why did you leave applying for extension at the last minute.

2 days prior to expiry of your permission of stay?

Old thread Samui specific.

Detailed OP.

Point 7 he refers to basic medical.

Vaguely recall that was previously required at Samui

Each office can have specific requirements eg CW wanting hand drawn map.

Thanks again Dr Jack.  The 800k 2 months is up on the 1st Jan.  I'll go to the bank on the 2nd and get the book updated and the relevant statement for the extension.

I applied for the 90 day in the UK.  They basically processed it the same day and I wasn't flying for another week so that shortened the time.  It took me a couple of weeks to find a long term rental I was happy with and then applying for the bank account and getting the money transferred.  All this contributed to having to apply for the extension near the end date.

I'm worried less now.

The OP sorta sounded you didn't have a clue in actual fact you seem on top of it.

CW likes to see "activity" on day of application..

That can be token deposit and also satisfies the update.

If you obtain bank letter few days early that's fine.

They may want a TM30 or lease agreement.

In the main they want the financial requirements met..

Good luck..

Actually it didn't.  The 90 days clock started when you entered the country, not when they issued the visa.

Thanks. I didn't realise that.  Passport stamp is the 16th Jan, the date in the actual visa is 4th Jan.  So I have more time than I thought.
