Re watching Tom in "The Take" mini series from 2009, entertaining if a little OTT. 1

Thanks, I wasn't aware of this series, so I will get onto it, and on the subject of Tom Hardy, another one of his which was a bit of a slow burner, until it wasn't, is called, "The Drop" and also stars James Gandolfini (in his last movie). 1

Only 4 episodes but Tom steals the show as a nasty psychopath. Have seen The Drop a few years back, and really enjoyed it, might be time to give it a re watch. 1 1

An added convenience is they will notify me when a new episode of something I have marked is broadcast. 1

Yes - Im another one for trakt, although it's a bit flakey, You are basically telling them you watch pirated content on your home media player, right? @Will27 The best thing I ever did was to set up *rr - sonarr, radarr, prowlarr - its an automated torrent / usenet downloader, you load your indexers (idk if its possible to use, but like RARBG, torrent galaxy) and it just goes out and snatches them for you. You can also search manually without going near those sites and their annoying popups. I think its not so difficult to setup on windows these days, its a bit tricky to run if you dont have a designated media server, like you need to keep some settings in check, else it will keep on downloading shows after you have deleted them, but well worth it. Is saves so much time, and makes everyones recommendations here really worthwhile. 1

I do it manually using the QBittorrent search Jackett plugin to specify the indexers of the sites I want to search, to avoid actually visiting the sites themselves.

Yes - jackett is also part of the suite, but it’s a bit past it now with prowlarr taking its place. I guess you could automate a few things with rss feeds with qbit, but sonarr just makes things so easy - my workflow is come to AN, add everyone’s recommendations to sonarr, enjoy my day, turn on the TV, and the shows are on my media player or will be after airing. 1

Fortunately, my brain is not that far gone yet and I update the list probably every day as I find new recommendations to add and mark items as watched.. I have used Trakt before when I first started using Kodi, but now I don't use Kodi anymore.

Just had a look on Github at the prowlarr-qbittorrent-plugin and in the README section it says "THIS REPO IS NO LONGER MAINTAINED. For a supported plugin please use Jackett". TBH Even doing things manually, I download more than enough to keep me busy.

I think they all do the same thing tbh, but Prowlarr integrates with the rest of the *rr suite. For sure, there's enough to keep us busy, I just like that I dont have to think, its always there - in the future, we can use AI to keep an eye on this thread and just automatically add @Will27 suggestions to sonarr while we get on with doing other things. There is also another thing called recomendarr which uses a LLM to recommend content using your library and has trakt integration .. im quite excited by this kind of thing at present. 1
garygooner Posted yesterday at 04:28 AM Posted yesterday at 04:28 AM Always find time to watch something from the past (70s/80s) during the week. Good memories. Auf Wiedersehen Pet. A classic British series. Last week was, Man about the house & Dad's Army. I've even started to watch Grange Hill again.
