The Thursday Murder Club - awesome cast easy to watch fun movie.

I thought it was mostly enjoyable but as a fan of the books, I felt it was rushed and the ending was a big disappointment. The cast was great though.

I struggled througfh, "The Naked Gun"(starring Liam Neeson) although was tempted to turn it off as it was abysmal, and nowhere near as clever/funny as the originals.....sad really.

I was not able to continue as it was a bore. Huge fan of his acting.

One of my recent batch of 10 minute movies.

10 minutes was as much as I could manage. A lot of them about.

I enjoyed Nobody 2, all a bit tongue in cheek, plenty of bodies, I think Saul outdoes John Wick, camio by The Professor

I've just finished season 1 of Outlander (from 2014) and I enjoyed it. Season 1 has 16 episodes, so it took a while to watch it. It was recommended by a mate of mine. It's on TPB.

I also downloaded seasons 2-7, which are also on TPB.

I enjoyed it as it was rather lovely and quaint in its own way.........then again I also like the Agatha Christie episodes which regularly feature on BBC iPlayer. Enchanting and interesting.

I just watched In Flight---- its OK, not a edge of seat nail bitter . but def watchable....  :licklips:

Have I mentioned Pachinko, the Korean series? Not a tear-jerker but historical realism from a personal point of view. Very moving.

Nobody 2 -outrageously stupid and impossible.

Great fun with Odenkirk and Sharon Stone as a super villain.

Just as good. What a great family story, so well done. Maybe the opposite pole of Squid Game!

Also on Netflix Thailand

NCIS: Tony & Ziva   10 episodes 3 out now--then weekly-- no IMDB rating --This is a a spin off from the NCIS series , anyone that watches that , will know the story (I dont)

Blurb--After Ziva's apparent death, Tony raises their daughter, Tali. Years later, Ziva returns and reunites with Tony. Tony's company is attacked, and the family travels to Europe, trying to learn who's after them and to trust each other again.

I watched an interesting documentary called "Footballs Financial Shame: The Story of the V11" on BBC iPlayer about football and footballers and the precarious financial situation they now find themselves in as a result of listening to "financial advisers" when they were players.

The financial advisory company was called Kingsbridge and the TV expose clearly showed forged signatures, conflicts of interest by virtue of ownership of some of these investments, and huge commissions being paid to the advisors, amongst other things and although the evidence seemed to be very clear, the Metropolitan police decided not to prosecute, when it seemed obvious that they had a very good case.

Now the HMRC is chasing these former players for tax, which of course they never benefited from because most of the "investments" fell over. In fact I was extremely surprised that the case wasn't brought against Kingsbridge, because they had forged signatures on documents, verified by handwriting experts and by the players themselves, and given poor investment advice which clearly benefitted them yet no prosecution, only persecution of the players.

These players were First Division/Premier league players and very well known and it was heartbreaking to see the situation they are now in, basically being bankrupted and penniless.

On that note I'm surprised that a top team of lawyers, could not have gotten to the bottom of this and cleared these poor folk, and prosecuted the two main shareholders of Kingsbridge investments.

A very sad documentary and so sad to see these great players reduced to tears in some instances.

I'm currently catching up on all 2 hour episodes of Grace on ITVX. Can be very hit and miss (mostly miss) whether you can get access to ITVX in Thailand even with a VPN. Currently back in the UK on a visit so not an issue.

Based on the Peter James novels about Roy Grace, a detective in Brighton played by John Simm. Currently on series 4 and have enjoyed every episode so far.

Coming up on BBC3 and subsequently on the BBC iplayer from next Monday 8th is a three part 'documentary' on consecutive nights called THAILAND - The dark side of paradise. Being shown 10pm UK time (04.00 Thai time next day). All episodes are usually available shortly after the first episode has aired.

I did make the following comment on another thread so I do not exactly have high expectations for it:-

I would caveat that it is being presented by a bit of 'fluff' that appeared as a contestant on the car crash that is 'Love Island'. Taking that into account I wouldn't expect too much hard hitting journalism. Regardless, I'll give the first 10 minutes of the first episode a try and see how it goes. "
