The Last Frontier.....   10 episodes---Apple TV

First 2 episodes seem OK......The plane crash full of baddies was sort of done before with Nicolas Cage......Con Air

Peacemaker season 2 just popped up on my radar so thought i would give it a go.

Not having watched the movie The Suicide Squad it straight away recommended I watched that to get the context, so I did.

Not being a big fan of Marvel and DC etc I was a bit apprehensive but both SS and Peacemaker are very much dark comedy with Idris Elba and John Cena in the lead roles.

Just started Peacemaker and loving it, not everyone’s cup of tea for sure but I would say if you liked The Boys you will love Peacemaker ( Suicide Squad was okay also )

Incorrect,

I loved the Boys, I hate Peacemaker.

I also loved Jessica Jones.

Just finished Netflix' "Man on the Inside" with Ted Danson. Perfect vehicle for him, touching story, some good characters. Maybe more impressive for us septuagenarians.

IMDB 76%, Rotten Tomatoes 90%

I'm not a fan of movies or series with subtitles, but I did make an exception and watched a four part series on BBC iPlayer, called, "The Intruder" which was French with English subtitles, but despite this I found it very enjoyable and it "pulled me into the story" early on, so I had to watch it to its conclusion.

There were a few twists and turns in it and overall it made a good evening's entertainment.

Thanks for the heads-up @xylophone. Will keep an eye out for that.

No doubt many have seen the movie called, "Alive" about the plane that crashed in the Andes, carrying a

Uruguayan rugby team and the trials and tribulations they had to go through to get about 17 of them to survive and I thought it was a good movie.

However there is now a new movie out about the very same thing which received a standing ovation in a recent showing/release. It goes into more detail about the team themselves, and also about the decision they had to make with regard to resorting to cannibalism.

The movie is called, "Society of the Snow" (can be found on 1337x.to) and it's about 2 1/2 hours long, and if you can find the right movie, it has dubbed English as well as English subtitles.

As for me, it was enjoyable and not sure if I enjoyed this one or the previous version more, would be good to get some feedback on it as we are all different.

Aren't you the one that thought War of the Worlds was great when IMDb and rotten tomatoes said it was the worst movie in a long time?

Yup, had a good time and that's all about it ....

Tulsa King ( season 3)

Last night I finished season 1 of The Crow Girl and it was very good IMHO. Recommended by @oxo1947 and later mentioned by @SamSpade. Definitely worth a watch IMHO. It was on TheRARBG (and possibly other sites).

I binged the whole thing in 1 sitting. It is billed as a comedy, so, no spoilers, but don't expect any FMJ excitement.

Imprisoned for seven years despite his innocence, he survives on wits alone before release in 2015.

I only watched season 5 because that was the only season I'd never seen.

“Mr. Scorsese” is a 5-part documentary event of a man through the lens of his work, exploring the many facets of a visionary who redefined filmmaking, including his extraordinary career and unique personal history.

A rootless genius, Iris Nixon, steals an enigmatic code from a charming philanthropist and disappears.
A tense countdown ensues as she races to unravel the code's mystery.

A gentle comedy that the BBC do so well.  'Leonard and Hungry Paul'.  Six episodes on TPB.

I watched a series on BBC iPlayer called, "Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue" which was a bit of a thriller/mystery and parts of it were good, others average, although it got a 6.4 rating on IMDb and that's about where I would have put it. When all is said and done, it made for a pleasant viewing experience over a couple of evenings.

I didn't like  jessica jones, I stopped watching the Boys, Peacemaker season 2 was much better than season 1 and the finale was unexpectedly good (and I'm usually not a fan of John Cena but this was a role that was perfect for him)
