A crash occurred early morning on January 7,on Route 3330 in the Ban Phu Khamin area, Tak Fa district, when a car driver veered off the road, resulting in the death of a 59-year-old woman.

The incident took place near an auto repair shop, where the red plated EV driver lost control and ended up off-road. Approximately 10 metres from the car, the lifeless body of the woman was found underneath the rear section of a parked lorry. Nearby, a dead cat was discovered on the roadside about 70 metres from the crash site.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle, driven by a woman in her early 30s, was travelling at high speed from Tak Fa district towards Phaisali district. The driver reportedly swerved to avoid the cat but struck it, then could not regain control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the road. The car struck the victim, who was preparing to set up her roadside broom stall. Her body was carried along with the vehicle before being thrown into the rear of the parked lorry undergoing repairs.

The driver, who sustained facial injuries, was taken to Tak Fa Hospital for treatment. Relatives of the driver identified her as a nurse who was on her way to open a clinic in Pho Prasat sub-district, Phaisali district.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver attempted to avoid hitting the cat, leading to the fatal collision. Police from the Tak Fa district are continuing to investigate the incident to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Hit the cat, travelled another 70m, out of control, before then going off the road and hitting the poor unfortunate lady....sounds like she was going at one hell of a speed.

You don't know how many lives a Thai has, but they still truly believe they come back after death.

Why was the lorry having repairs?

Why so much smoke and mirrors in the article?…the bottom lin is the driver was going too fast for the conditions thus not under control…no different than someone tailgating…an accident waiting to happen

Missing some details in the report. How fast was she actually driving? Was it a village zone or just random houses along the road? Makes a lot of difference if you swerve with 90 or 50 km/h...

From the  quote by online killing game addicts?

In a virtual world, the life is resettable; can re-start anytime, even after got shot dead.

Surprisingly, some kids(certainly not everyone) really believe it can happen in their real life as well.

And a red plate shows it was pretty new, so the driver was inexperienced at driving it.

There's your answer.

I'm sure he didn't swerve to avoid the cat, KNOWING he would hit someone. That's the definition of an ACCIDENT.

I would also swerve or brake to avoid hitting an animal, including a human. But would I swerve to avoid hitting a human, KNOWING I would then hit some other animal? I hope I never have to make that decision.

Do prisons take dead people?

Huh?  How do you know she had no experience of a similar car?

Should have hit the cat, and save the pedestrian.

I love cats myself, but human life is higher valued.

Where did I say that the driver was dead?

Two can play this game.

Ha, ha, I asked a simple question

It's a very simple moral to this story, if you're in a car or a truck, never, ever swerve to avoid a cat.

Cats are very expendable and rarely do damage to a vehicle. People are not expendable.
