If the sign said, "No Russians Here!" it would be a non-issue, and if reported at all, it would have 80% of the AseanNow members whooping and cheering.
If the sign said, "No Chinese Here!" it would be a non-issue, and if reported at all, it would have 80% of the AseanNow members whooping and cheering.
If the sign said, "No Indians Here!" it would be a non-issue, and if reported at all, it would have 80% of the AseanNow members whooping and cheering.
If the sign said, "No Middle-Easterns Here!" it would be a non-issue, and if reported at all, it would have 80% of the AseanNow members whooping and cheering.
If the sign said, "No Scouse Here!" it would be a non-issue, and if reported at all, it would have 95% of the British AseanNow members whooping and cheering and laughing their butts off.
If the sign said, "No Yanks Here!" it would be a non-issue, and if reported at all, it would have 100% of the British AseanNow members whooping and cheering and laughing their butts off.

But it says, "No Israelis Here" so it's "antisemitic" and everyone goes quiet.  🤔

I'm still looking for that little slice of paradise with the "No British Allowed Here" sign

It would be better if "Israeli," the nationality, and "Semitic," the religion, would not get conflated.

You're the one using the insults to make your points, who should grow up? But I will state that I am completely opposed to Progressive Liberalism, and the absolute mess they have created.

So one evil in change for another! Bravo

They have better lies, thats fits your narrative better I understand.

Although currently what he said is true, as there hasn't been any new wars

He doesn't have to, just tell Israel to do what it needs to do, take care of Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis. No more holding them back, let them get it done, then the rest of the world can get back to normal.

Any person, Jewish, Israeli, or anything else that supports the right of Israel to exist is pro Zionist.

You have no understanding of what Zionism means.

Zionism does not conflate with current Israeli government policies.

Most current Israelis are NOT of European descent.

You're thinking of American Jews.

The Jewish people in general most definitely do have a historical connection to Israel.

Older than Arabs for sure.

Israeli is a Jewish majority middle eastern country.

You're spouting ignorant propaganda.

Blah blah blah, I don't give a <deleted> about understanding your religion.  when you go killing and then trying to kick people out of their own country?  <deleted> that and <deleted> that yahoo in charge.  This stupid conflict will go on and on and on and you want people to care about it?

Are israeli toruists really any worse than the russian ones in phuket? Maybe crazy western politics is making its way here too

No, they aren´t. But there are a lot of undesirable tourists from a wide range of countries. I think we can just pack-ém up together. Let´s throw the russians, Israelis and the muslims in the same box and send them to Congo Kinshasa.

Sounding to be much more anti Israeli than antisemitic.

I serioudly doubt Jerry Seinfeld would have any problem being served in Pai, unless there is some kind of soup Nazi`shop there.

 Seinfeld is not Israeli.

I'm an independent, one of the spoilers in every election, sometimes you have to make hard choices......Liberalism and a Senile President were the straws that sealed their fate, and his parties backing a losing unelectable horse (Harris was an insult), was their downfall.

Spoiler alert: This conflict has been going on for 1000's of years, it is never going to End.

Young people misbehaving is not specific to any nation or ethnic group. Bullies are found everywhere.

What is the  name of this thinking disorder where you can't understand averages and per capita? I see this come up over and over again any time there are conflicts between groups of people.

Do we need to post crime stats again and show per capita break downs of which groups commit which crimes at which rates? We can also show crime states per country and you will be shocked to learn that not all countries have the same rates of crime.

This reaction follows disturbances caused by certain Israeli travellers

All I see is a guy walking down the street with his shirt off.

The business owners putting the signs up should be arrested as that is probably the highest form of discrimination you could get.

Can we add some Thai's to that list too?

A few Israelis cause a disturbance and we see this article, signs banning Israelis, Israelis deported, but not the same action against Russians, Indians, Poms, Aussies and many other nationalities... I guess too many, and too much money lost, and maybe Israelis refuse to pay the corruption payments.

It is more than a few.

there have been “no Israeli” signs in Thailand at resorts, shops and restaurants since at least the 90s.

Their culture and manners clashes with the Thais manners a lot.

We don’t see the same action against the other nationalities because they are simply not as disruptive and entitled as the Israelis.

I pity the Palestinians in the Westbank having to put up with these people where they have no rights to oppose it.

Good on the Thais, they are not anti Israeli for any religious or historical reason, it is purely for their behavior.

Many countries have banned entry to Israelis, maybe it is time that the Thais do it also until they learn to behave properly and respect others.

15. You will not discriminate or post slurs, degrading or overly negative comments on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability, medical history, marriage, civil partnership, pregnancy, maternity, paternity, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other irrelevant factor.

The airheads have been brainwashed by the media, in particular, Al Jazeera.  This is exactly what Hamas wants in its strategy.  So a couple of Israelis caused minor trouble and you see the reaction.  Recently I read that a couple of Indian men got caught urinating on the beach in Pattaya  and nothing happens!  I wouldn't frequent any Thai restaurant displaying an anti Israel sign and I am not from Israel.

Its more than just a couple of incidents

In the US that would be racist.

His point was anti-semitism is being conflated with being anti-israeli. If a 50 year old Jewish person from NYC comes to Pai they wouldn't make any connections with Israel.

As a side note this is a great way to cause real anti-semitism. A bunch of punk kids show up acting like <deleted> and when you ban them for your business you get accused of "anti-semitism" i.e "hostility to or prejudice against Jewish people." This happens enough times to you and you can become a real anti-semite.

You have no evidence to back that up except that thread you always post from 2009. No evidence, and you probably never even met a jew in your life

Clearly you haven't seen enough then. Do you really think Thai's have succumb to Nazism or something  and developed an irrational hatred for Jews?

I saw No Israeli signs in Pai 20 years ago. I saw young Israeli men acting terribly too, in their own category for sure. They clearly had enough and did a full-scale ban to avoid problems and rightly so.

Are you saying hatred of Jewish people is rational?  If so you have broken one of the moderators previous posts rule on forum etiquette

I don't agree, they should just make it easier for the Immigration Police to deport the troublemakers (all nationalities) on the spot, if you cause trouble, straight to IDC and on your way home after being fined heavily and blacklisted.

This also is against forum rules to suggest a full scale ban on people from a certain country I am very surprised the moderators haven't removed all your anti-semetic posts

USA is the only safe place for jews in the modern era due to the lack of muslims. The really sad thing is the white liberal folks brainwashed by media to take the muslim side, even though muslims kill white people for not believing in their god. I think Europe Australia and Canada are very far gone and im not sure if any new government can save them anymore

I have Palestinian Christian friends they tell me they lived for hundreds of years in Palestine side by side with muslims as good friends and neighbours. Also arab Christians call god Allah....its the same God. Just an arabic name for the english name god.

I believe many come here after playing soldier, but they know not to say too much on where they come from. They know outside of europe or the west they are not liked by some.So how they behave in pai has the thais upset and they don,t want those kind of people there. The restaurants will serve anyone but cause problems you are not welcome. The russians down sth are they and money keeps them there and thais happy.Look at other parts of the world and you see the same issues there

The Thai interest in Nazism has been around for years , decades. And the funny thing is, is that it has nothing to do with Nazi politics or anything to do with WW2 or the holocaust.  Typical Thais don’t know anything or even care about WW2. They just like the Nazi style , the black swastika on the red background,  WW2 German helmets etc.  I remember taking my son to his dance class back in 2003 and the whole ceiling was covered in about 20 Nazi flags! This was in a major shopping mall 😂.  When I asked the teacher about it , he just said he liked the style .
