If Musk is now president and Trump is Vice President, what on earth is Vance? Secretary? The guy who runs to Starbucks?

Maybe one of the , like really stable genius MAGAs here, can riddle me this.....

If President Musk deletes 25% of the Federal workforce, how much money is saved?

(Hint: It's less than 1% of the Federal Budget, but it will slow govt services like tax refunds, inspecting food for bacteria, getting a passport, approving new drugs, monitoring ports for contraband, etc. But hey, that <1% of the budget, which might mean 26 cents for the average MAGA, is worth waiting 3 years for your passport, right, or a dirty bomb getting through Baltimore and into Washington, DC?)

Where's the actual fraud, waste and abuse? I suggest in that Fox Talk Show Host's department...Defense. Of the top 10 defense budgets on planet Earth (is Musk still here?), the US' is larger than the next 9 combined. I don't see anybody invading any of those other 9, except Ukraine. Heck, Pete the SecDef just got $50,000 to repaint his official residence. Now if he and Elon had any brains, they would pay a couple of illegal aliens five hundred bucks to do the job...and THEN deport them. Oh, and Elon isn't on any GS-system; he's getting paid $8 million a month for his DOGEwork, as if he needs the money.

It's pretty dangerous to think just because a guy can hire smart engineers who can figure out how to catch a rocket booster he also can instantly determine where all the fraud, waste and abuse is in government, especially when he hires 19 year old college freshman to help. As I noted in another thread about the actions of President Musk, USAID funded prison guards in Syria who look after hundreds of ISIS jihadis. When their pay stopped, the guards left. Shortly thereafter, so did the ISIS jihadis. Call me a cynic, but I don't think those jihadis were rehabilitated in that Syrian jail. I suspect they're going to go back to doing what they do best, which is killing innocent people, some of whom are4 likely to be Americans.

Getting men to Mars ain't cheap.

Did anyone see the press conference with Musk and Trump in the Oval Office? Musk's son appears to say to Trump you are not president you should leave, and then wipes a booger on his desk. At least somebody knows how to show this man the disrespect that he richly deserves. And the kid is likely repeating what Musk is saying at home.

I like much that DOGE has uncovered and am happy to see cuts where needed. I do feel, however, that the deportment of Musk has been depraved and positively low brow. I'm ready to allow him to run his technical audit. But he has no business using that material to suggest government policies or advocate for bills, such as he and Vivek did for the continuing budget vote. The White House and the Oval Office doesn't need to be made into some nightmare version of Romper Room. Musk is good  at figuring out how to get things into space and maybe make cars. His politics are poisonous however. That Trump can't see this is yet another indictment of Trump's poor people skills. Elon/Trump are leading us into a disaster in Ukraine that will resemble another China 1949 debacle, where Joe Stilwell so poisoned the US relationship with Chiang Kai-shek during World War II that he created an atmosphere that turned off support of Chiang after the war and made Mao's victory possible. Sometimes your allies are going to be corrupt. But it's better them winning than your enemies. I still think Trump wants to do a Nixon Goes To China gambit. And with Musk pushing in that direction, we just might get it. Catastrophe.

Every American has the right to suggest government policy and to advocate for bills.

It is common for grass-roots efforts to have constituents call their representatives and let their opinions be known.

I am all for deleting any number of departments, particularly the Department of DisEducation.

Ok. However, weren't you previously saying that the Trump collective would change all that?

And no there isn't any evidence to support your claim that the 3 presidents you mention profited from their activity while in office.

Trump obliges his secret service  detail and  white house workers to pay for  accommodation and meals at Trump owned facilities  when he makes his near weekly return to  his home in Florida. Why is Musk allowed access to business competitors' files and contracts? Why was he meeting with Modi at the White House to discuss his projects in India?

The MAGA collective would be the first to scream and claim criminal conspiracies if it was anyone other than the Trump  cabal.
