Will Immigration Office inform you by letter

Featured Replies

If they can't contact you by telephone for home visit arrangement.  The responsible TM is Nonthaburi. (for spouse visa extension)

It's more likely that they would just show up unannounced and question some of your neighbors.

It goes without saying that it's in your best interest that they can contact you (give them a number you actually answer).

TM?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Ditto.  TM.  OP, what's a "TM?"

I'm assuming, it's for ตม (TM) which is Thai for immigration and the source of all the form numbers. TM30 = Immigration form 30, etc.  But I could be wrong, as I've never seen anyone refer to immigration like that before.

When talking to Thais about Immigration, I always use the colloquial "Tor Mor" (TM, ตม). Saves me trying to remember and then pronounce "สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง" or Samnak-ngan Truat Khon Khao Mueang, which translates to Immigration Bureau.

From my personal experience in Nonthaburi, they only came for the first extension. I extended it the second time recently and am under consideration stamp now. I must go there on 28th February and they still didn't call me so it's possible they only come first time to your house.
