German Man Behind Violent Tirade in Korat Dental Clinics

Featured Replies

He bit a woman on the lip?

That's aggravated assault, or even sexual assault.

I don't know Thai criminal law, but there must be some equivalency for these attacks.

It astonishes me that he was not apprehended after the first attack and them simply deported as seems to be the case for many such examples...

What the heck is he still doing roaming the streets? In gaol and in a straight jacket for his own protection. Second thoughts - forget the straight jacket.

  • What a peculiar mental illness to have such a phobia of dental clinics that you want to attack them to defend yourself. He must have suffered terrible trauma at a dental clinic, poor man.

Lazy "victims".  For B5,000 Somchai and a friend would make it so he wouldn't be walking.

That´s correct and a quite healthy way of looking at the problem. 😉

Other than the jails does Thailand have any facilities forthe mentally challenged.

Have to wonder if there is ore to the story seems to me that this guy should have already been dealt with.

The other side I think is that he has a familly that may be dependent on him.  I wondeer what he does for funds.  Let's face it things are hard all over and if sent back to germany he probably would end up onthe streets or in jail there.

Yes, they have mental facilities, but not enough of them.

Sorry, I can´t feel compassion with a guy like this. Sad for his family, but it can´t stand in the way for what needs to be done.

Dirty farang have been kicked out of the promised land for much, much less. Wondering therefore, why Thailand does not deport the fellow to the German Embassy and let them deal with the problem which will be a repatriation back to Allemania. Apart from getting rid of the problem I would assume, that professional help - if so needed - is easier available in Germany than here.

The man  would probably be manageable if he was medicated. Unfortunately, you can't force people to take their anti psychotic medications. He is most likely in Thailand because of his Thai marriage and legal status on his visa. In order to deport, his visa must be revoked.

Ideally, he should be sent back to Germany where there is a much better psychiatric care system in place. AT worse, he ends up on the street in an east german  city where he will fit in with the locals.

What is the relevance of "Despite his marriage to a Thai citizen....."? The guy is crazy and should be locked up then deported.

This individual has to be deported and banned for life regadless of him settling down in Korat with a  Thai  wife. The blame lies solely  with his home country who gave him a passport and allowed him to travel. Exporting your mental misfits is unacceptable. This is German problem not a Thai problem!

He attended a dentist many years ago, they told him his teeth were O.K. But his gums had to come out. 🤣😂🤣

Im thinking he must have money to be able to buy his way out of previous trouble.

Yes reckon he’s paid off more than once probably

He was told that his teeth are OK but his gums have to come out, that annoyed him.

Yeah, one might wonder, but reading this, it looks like no formal complaint or report to police has been made until now.

A formal complaint was lodged with the local police in November, last year.

"Worryingly, he has been on this rampage since November 2014, yet the issue remains unresolved."

WHAT! Nearly 10 years and he is still a problem? I am sure that the RTP can think of some reason for detaining him - if they want to!

Manhunt for German Accused of Assaulting Dentists in Thailand

Police in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, have issued an arrest warrant for a 41-year-old German man after a series of assaults on dentists in the Muang district. Identified only as Heffner, the suspect allegedly attacked multiple dentists and damaged equipment over three-and-a-half months.

The arrest warrant, approved on three charges—trespassing, assault, and property damage—was issued amid rising concerns over previous police inaction. Despite numerous complaints, authorities had not acted swiftly, which drew public and professional criticism.

The incidents began when a woman dentist reported an attack on 30th November. She claimed the man forced entry into her clinic by punching through a door. Other dentists later filed similar complaints, describing their fears of being targeted by him. Local police claimed to have attempted contacting Heffner twice for questioning, but he failed to comply.

In response to the mounting pressure, police searched the suspect's residence with an interpreter, only to find he had fled in a dark green Ford Ranger. The authorities are actively pursuing him, spearheaded by Deputy Provincial Police Chief Pol Col Kachen Setthaputta.

Questions regarding the delay in issuing the warrant were addressed, as it emerged that some complaints were withdrawn after the suspect's Thai wife claimed his behaviour resulted from untreated mental illness.

While the investigation continues, the case underscores the urgent need for action when facing repeated criminal activity and the significant role mental health can play in such incidents, reported Bangkok Post.

Way too many tourists walk around as if they own the place. and speak insultingly to Thai people. Utterly pathetic. I doubt they would behave this way in their own country.

The attacker’s erratic behaviour, reportedly self-medicated with marijuana since leaving psychiatric treatment in Germany, remains unchecked.

Hef needs to lay down the bong and leaf and get on the antipsychotics. Sometimes Big Pharma does have the answer.

2014 could be a typo .... maybe November 2024 rather?

A 46-year-old German man has been arrested in Nakhon Ratchasima after allegedly assaulting several female dentists in the area.

The suspect, known as Matthias Ebner, is married to a Thai woman and had reportedly been causing havoc in dental clinics throughout the city since November 2024.

His aggressive behaviour at six locations included damaging property, invading private dentist office spaces, and physically attacking dentists—such as head-butting walls and biting a dentist's lip.

On 18 March 2025, local law enforcement from Chor Hor Police Station identified Ebner as the perpetrator sought under an arrest warrant.

He was apprehended in a shopping centre car park on Suranaree Road, following an attempted escape in a pickup truck from Don Chomphu, Non Sung District.

Ebner confirmed his identity when confronted by police, complying with the arrest following the presentation of the warrant issued by the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Court.

The arresting officers have coordinated with immigration and a German interpreter for further interrogation and are proceeding with legal action against him, reported Thai Rath.
