Democratic-backed Susan Crawford wins Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, cementing liberal majority

 

The Democratic-backed candidate for Wisconsin Supreme Court defeated a challenger endorsed by President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk on Tuesday, touting her victory as a win against powerful interests and cementing a liberal majority for at least three more years.
Musk and groups he backed had spent more than $21 million in an effort to defeat Crawford. Musk even traveled to Wisconsin two days before the election to personally hand over $1 million checks to two voters.

A great result.  The beginning of the end for Musk, one would hope.

A small but important step to defend democracy against the maga fascists and explicitly anti-democracy, anti constitution, anti rule of law currupt oligarchs who want to turn the USA into Russia/Hungary.

Excellent news....sends a clear shot across the bow against people who support money politics, for Musk failed in his mission to buy votes. Now, onwards and upwards, and bye bye Elon hopefully soon.

Win against powerful interests... as if the democrats don't have billionares and powerful people backing them.

Hypocrisy in full effect.... as per the norm

Musk was likely a negative influence on his candidate for the court. People are not only sick of him, they're beginning to be fearful of him. His narcissism wouldn't allow him to try and affect the election behind the scenes. He had to be up front and in the eye of the camera, just like his partner in the White House.
