  • Should be charged with attempted murder. What a nasty P.O.S.

  • Judging by some of your resent posts. Maybe you should have a long look in the mirror.

  • It will be interesting to see how these charges compare with the road rage incident In Pathum Thani, involving a local political figure's son driving a BMW

For attempted murder you have to prove intent. Simply attacking someone doesn't rise to that. If you charge someone with too severe an offense, it's more likely that charges get dropped. I think his charges are serious enough, but the bottom line is what penalties.

You're exactly right. 🙏

You still wearing female underwear?

I wonder if Thai men wear female knickers.

Damm shame your recent posting was taken down, I reckon it would have been a good laugh.

It's what AN forum members need, a laugh to cheer all the grumpy bums up.

I thought about tyring on the gf panties.

She's only 40kg, very small size.

Now she's angry with me for destroying a good pair of undies.

Exactly, it's curious how the police were so swift to bring five charges in this case, yet no charges have been mentioned against the BMW-driving son of the political figure.

It’s a glaring example of double standards unfolding in real-time. If we had the chance to observe this, it would be fascinating to watch how it plays out. But with such minimal reporting follow-up on these matters, we’ll likely never see the results or have anything to compare it to.

and why you have so many issues with other foreigners.

from his posts, it seems he despises all foreigners.

probably not the only one in thailand.

some people have this fantasy that they should be the only foreigner in thailand. maybe so they can get all the girls to themselves.

not sure how you can even quantify that. it's more mystifying than how trump calculated his tariffs.

I mostly keep to myself. i don't have a large social circle. i think most people may be inclined to do sth to betray you eventually if given the opportunity.

you're not trash, harrisfan. for sure. I can sense it through the internet.

I find 50% of all humans to be liars, con artists, full of bs types. Regardless of race.

It's obviously some issue where being the only "good" foreigner compensates for some other personal short-coming.  He perceives Thailand and Thai people as being superior to the West and Western people, then feels special and superior to most other foreigners as he imagines he is the one foreigner who treats the Thais properly, who knows their customs, who is accepted by them.  It's a status thing.

You only have to look at how he explodes in rage simply for being disagreed with.  That makes him feel inferior, so he lashes out to feel superior again.  His mind won't let him believe that he is wrong, so the other person has to be wrong.

It would be interesting to see his response to meeting another foreigner who he views as being "more Thai" than him (lived in Thailand longer, better at speaking Thai, more Thai friends, etc.).  I wonder if he would become enraged and say how the guy is "up himself", or if he would try desperately to ingratiate himself with the "more Thai" foreigner.

Police used CCTV footage to trace and capture Amornthap

I would love to know how they traced and captured him without a licence plate, and I thought I read he surrendered ?

prompting a search that led him to eventually surrender at a Chiang Mai police station on his motorbike.

Lots if holes in this story, but hey, the main thing is he didn't abscond LOL

5 years in the slammer should give him time to calm down and the wife to have moved on as opposed to staying with this piece of work.

There's angry people in every country.

My dad had many episodes of strong anger all of his life but his 8 brothers and 1 sister even worse,

Even more worse dad's mother and father (my grandparents), many incidents of severe domestic violence and severe verbal abuse.

This was all in a very isolated mining area where the men are tough, simple incidents very often turned into severe violence and abuse.

100% road rage... he is cooking up the...  angry with wife angle... just to save himself from the harsh punishment...

I'm waiting for the next excuse, this time from someone who constantly gets butt-hurt on this forum...  and has a traffic tantrum then states... "angry with Aseannow posters" !!!...  :giggle:

Upon questioning, Amornthap confessed to the assault, motivated by anger from a prior argument with his wife. This intense emotion was exacerbated when the victim cut in front of him, sparking a verbal exchange that escalated to violence.

Mommies boy needs to grow up.

I think this would be considered Aggravated Assault in the US. He survived but easily could have been killed. He needs to get years in jail for this.

".......driving without a licence."

Now that's a real shocker!

Police used CCTV footage to trace and capture Amornthap, an employee of a private courier company.

And yet:

8 hours ago, webfact said:

Authorities have charged Amornthap with five offences: grievous bodily harm, reckless driving endangering others, driving without consideration for public safety, operating a vehicle without a licence plate, and driving without a licence.

His employers might want to reflect on the due diligence they use when choosing their employees.

Isn't that justified, though?

sure, I'm not passing any judgement on it, just saying it's pretty common here and I've seen quite a few Thais do it.

maybe they should also be asking the private courier company, why are they employing people who do not have  a licence

Hope the guy recovers quickly. :jap:
