You’re advocating deporting people for expressing their opinion. Double standard much?

They are talking about what ever one they want to attack at the moment, fundamentally it’s an attack on the first amendment couched in the premise of attacking (hammas) supporters when in reality it’s more of a protest against the slaughter of the regular Palestinian people.that being said it’s an attack on free speech no more no less.

Its not an attack on free speech .

Free speech doesn't allow you to racially abuse other and to harass ethnic minorities .

That is against the law and free speech doesn't cover that

What a crock... Trump is doing what he must do to get rid of those students advocating terrorism publicly. You go to a country and protest the governments actions and you will be deported in any country. Why should America be different in this?

If anything, blame the Dems for encouraging and failing to prevent or cease all the stuff they are doing to try to stop Trump on every front.

The schools are now trying to stop even the rules for DEI. They need to be shown they are part of America or they are not.

Exactly.

These old Lib farangs should try going out in Bangkok and protesting about the Thai government foreign policy for weeks on end. Putting on masks and intimidating others. What they get arrested, they can start crying about their human rights and freedom of speech. See how they like the floor of the IDC as they try to Crowdfund enough money for a flight home.

If these "students" think the US is so terrible that they need to protest, they can go back to whatever dump they came from. See what their freedom of speech is like there.

And… get ready for it…

So now you’re a troublemaker if you speak your mind? What happened to free speech?  Or does that only apply if you say ‘the right thing’?

I have no urge to persecute or harm Jews, and I've never been to a protest, even in my home country.

Which is basically what all these foreign students are doing in the USA.

We are talking about the students being deported .

Trump is a USA citizen and this isn't about Trumps behavior .

What bid the students say that caused them to get deported ?

Many lefties were supporting and cheering on the foreign students when they were breaking the law , barricading themselves into buildings , trespassing , obstructing , disrupting other students education and abusing American Jewish Students .

They have no desire to uphold the law then and seemed to fully support the law breakers .

Now that the law has clamped down on the lawless students , the same people are now bleating on about "free speech"

When their opinion is that the state of Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth?

I don't really think the US really needs any more anti-semites. Especially violent ones.

Nothing to do with free speech ,

The students were invited to sit down and talk about it .

But they refused to enter into ant discussions .

Free speech doesn't allow you to barricade yourself into buildings and to trespass or to encourage genocide

You really don’t have a clue what’s going on, do you? Even people born in USA, natural born citizens, are getting emails to self-deport.

That's not in the OP. Can you provide a link to that claim that native US citizens are getting emails to self deport?

The deportation orders highlight a growing crackdown on student activism and a shift in U.S. visa policies. Glad to see this crackdown-These students are here to study and be Good Students not to participate in any activism-Period.

Most, if not all, just exercised their right of free speech. But the thin-skinned man child occupying the White House and his cronies can’t deal with even the slightest little bit of criticism.

How often do we see comments like “Deport them,” “You’re only a guest here,” or “Foreigners have no right to an opinion” - all delivered with full-throated support for removing those who fail to keep a low profile in Thailand ?

It’s unclear if it’s always the same individuals making these remarks, but such sentiments frequently reflect the prevailing mood. Yet, when similar actions occur in the United States, the outrage suddenly shifts - not because the measures differ, but because they’re associated with Trump. The same behaviour, once cheered elsewhere, is swiftly condemned when it wears a different political face.

“Up until Trump took office, it was really up to the designated school officers to initiate that revocation in SEVIS,” he told CNN. “What we’re seeing now is that ICE is doing it themselves.”

Perhaps ICE would have kept hands off had the school officers done their jobs instead of standing by and watching protestors make it dangerous, if not impossible for the students who were there for an education.

I'm not making the claim but feel free to provide plenty more.

Which country would they self deport to if they were born in the US?

Yes that's already in the OP and not what I questioned

Your link does not contain confirmation of my question above

Wouldn't this 'slaughter of the regular Palestinian people' stop if Hamas put down their weapons and stopped killing Israelis? Without a threat from Hamas, Israel has no need to continue it's aggression. A total ceasefire by Hamas could resolve the issue!

Go on, explain the Tiananmen square comparison ,

What are you comparing Tiananmen square massacre to ?

Would it be difficult to add "... in US" to the title?

On the forum about TH why to worry about students from nowhere behaving badly in US?

No?

Ok

Maybe it will make universities cheaper, less student debt.

And not so competitive to get in.

Getting rid of foreign students likely will not make universities cheaper.  With many state colleges and universities, there is a 3-tier payment system:  in-state students, out-of-state students, and foreign students--who pay the most.  That was the system at the state college where I worked.

Just one example, Shippensburg University, a state university in Pennsylvania.  In-state  American students pay $3828 in tuition; out-of-state American students pay $5787, and international students pay $8681--more than double what in-state students pay.  International students help keep the fees for American students lower.   Plus, they contribute to a diverse student body.
