Has anyone come across these ingredients....used in a very effective constipation treatment in Spain..

This works very well, and sold @ 7-11, all of 29 baht

'SWIFF' mentioned earlier works, and what one doc prescribed to me before colonoscopy.  Though may be a little too intense.   Both require you to be near a toilet.   SWIFF kicks in fast.  NUUi slow acting overnight, then you'll need to be near toilet about 6 hours after waking.  PLAN ACCORDINGLY, as it will come in waves.

 

I recently discovered dried apricots also work quite well.  Along with 400mg of Magnesium Citrate, split between 3 doses a day (133mg each).   Before I stated no laxative effect, but was not taking enough.  Oops.

 

May want to simply introduce more water and dietary fiber into your daily diet.

Constipation can have a lot of triggers — iron supplements, low fibre, low hydration, or even reduced gut motility with age. Vegan fibre tablets or prunes work for some, but the basics often help most: more water, regular movement, and a mix of soluble + insoluble fibre (vegetables, fruit, whole grains).

A salt water enema usually works good

Lots of good tips here. Constipation can come from so many things—diet, hydration, even medications like iron. Sometimes it’s about finding the mix that works best for your body. Anyone else tried adjusting one thing at a time to see what makes the biggest difference?

H Pylori is what I had to go through. It hurts your gut microbiome and the treatment also does a number on your gut, killing good bacteria. I've eaten good all my life, and the only real trouble I've had was getting H Pylori living here. I eat healthy, enough fiber, fruit, collagen, probiotics, yogurt, kimchi, coffee, tea, oil of oregano (now), and exercise. Without testing for allergies, you can also have Celiac or Crohns. Government hospital here in Sisaket where I live only does upper endoscopy and H Pylori test after that, no followup unless you go to Sisaket hospital in Sisaket. 

H. Pylori can really knock your system around, both the infection and the antibiotics. Sounds like you’ve been very mindful about rebuilding your gut afterwards. Did you find probiotics and fermented foods helped bring things back into balance?

Not been since last Saturday, eaten prunes, all bran, lots of water, several salt ememas and a couple of the psyllium powers, of which there are a lot on the market now. Even tried massage nothing worked at all. Not tried the magnesium yet, but feel so rotten will probably go to the local hospital Friday if nothing happens tomorrow. Just noticed Swiff will try to get some in the morning

When all else fails a time honored tradition is in order.

 

A good old fashioned soap suds enema.  Just like granny use to give you…LOL

Have Colpermin tablets worked for you with regard to constipation??

they have a herbal tea at big c and otherwise that will fix it,

eating smaller but more meals also seem to have impact

Tried that for 2 days but it had no effect I'm afraid......cast iron guts and a slow digestive system seems to the cause. I did try the Magnesium Citrate recommended by @AgMech Cowboy and it was a bit vicious so wonder if it is good/healthy to take it "often". A good standby all the same.

I read that tamarind is a good natural laxative, so I buy dried seedless tamarind at Big C.  I also buy prunes at Big C.  Those two things definitely help.  Google says dried kiwi and rasins are also natural laxatives so I buy those at Big C as well.

Tamarind is good as is prunes.
I have porridge, pineapple, holland papaya, dragon fruit with yoghurt every morning for breakfast 
Works a treat as does a long walk every morning and at least 2 litres of water a day.

Varied results ,was taking 2 a day and bowels were better ,but now they seemed to stop being effective
