once worked with a guy, been to Thailand through many years and still kept sending money to a no-longer young lady.  He said that she had told him it wasn't really necessary to send her money as she would always be available for him if he showed up, especially since she had 5 other guys still sending her money regularly!  He told us she was just a great friend.

That's the norm, not a "one off." If it makes these guys feel good that they are helping out a "poor" Thai girl?  Really, it's up to them.  Why do you want to put yourself in the middle of a transactional relationship which isn't about you?

Wife's friend started talking to a guy from Europe, she's about 40 and guy was around 60 I think. She can speak and write English but lives in wife's village doing nothing usually as boyfriend sends her money from UK and comes to see her every 4-6 months or so. 

She was talking online to this guy from Europe for a few months and then he sent her money to buy a car . She went out and bought a brand new Toyota at around just under a million bht paid one time . She isn't even that good looking either , just shows people have money to burn .

I have met many Thai women who actually keep 4 to 5 men abroad appeased because they send her money. You can be lucky #2.

My girlfriend has a friend living close who has two kids. One with a local and one with a foreigner. She always has men coming to her drink shop, foreigners and locals, as she's okay looking (not as nice as she thinks). She told my GF a man sent her 80,000 baht a month. I told her no one would send that much and it's likely BS. It of course eventually stopped, whatever he was sending. I hear this happens a lot here, men who send money so they can have a Thai sex partner set up when they come to visit, thinking it's better than a hooker, although it's kinda like one anyway. She has told me a few of her friends also get money from out of country foreigners, all without yet visiting besides one that comes every now and then.
