Tommy Robinson to be released from prison early

Featured Replies

The far-right anti-Islam activist Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, also known as Tommy Robinson, is due to be released from prison four months early.

His 18-month sentence for contempt of court was reduced after a hearing at the High Court on Tuesday.

Yaxley-Lennon was jailed last October because he ignored an order not to repeat false allegations about a Syrian refugee who successfully sued him for libel.

Not far right and anybody with an ounce of sense is anti islam. He was jailed for showing a film telling the truth. Always have to mention his real name, but never with other people who changed theirs, eg John Legend, Kirk Douglas. Elton John was Reginald Dwight, he's never called that though is he.

Possibly groomed and gang raped while he was inside.

Happy to see Tommy Tommy Tommy

Robinson back in the mix , Britain hasn’t looked the same for years since they/ them started persecuting him and others for his views.

Google Ai:

“The question of whether Tommy Robinson has been persecuted for his views is complex and depends on one's perspective. While some argue that he has been unfairly targeted and silenced, others contend that he has been held accountable for his actions and statements”.

This is what passes for a crime in the UK?

He spoke what millions believe is the truth. He showed a film that was anti Islamic. But that is not difficult to do given the nature of Islam. He has many, many supporters and sympathisers who rejoice his release from stir.

He wasn't jailed for his views, he was jailed for the serious crime of Contempt of Court which he plead guilty to. He gave them no option.

Did you really ask AI if your opinion was right? Lol.  I'm not surprised it gave you a wishy-washy answer.

Because he exposed muslim grooming gangs over 20 years ago for a start, when everyone else including the police were ignoring little girls being raped.

Contempt of Court is a crime in most countries including the U.S.

Whilst over a hundred of his supporters are convicted paedophiles, an uncomfortable truth.

Telling the truth or having an opinion is now a crime in the UK

Why???

Because they feel he speaks for them in the face of uncontrolled immigration- mainly Muslim men. Over 2 million in 10 years. I come from Manchester where a bomb was planted at a concert of Arianna  Grande. Dozens were killed and hundreds maimed and injured. It was planted deliberately to catch spectators as they were leaving the stadium. The bomber has been in the news recently for maiming a prison guard; you may have read the story. He used boiling oil. So when TR speaks about these matters people listen. For many people he was considered a "political prisoner". A victim of Starmer’s Two Tier Justice System. That is how low Britain has sunk.

Contempt of court, quite rightly, is a crime.

That is irrespective of my support for quite a lot (not all) of what Yaxley says.

It should not have been contempt, have you seen the film?

I don't think you understand the concept of contempt.

Whether something carries the truth or not, if a court order says don't do it. Yaxley cannot be judge and jury.

Yes.

That is irrelevant to the contempt judgement.

You're just being silly. Fortunately that isn't a crime either.

No, the bomber Salman Abedi died when he blew himself up, it's his brother Hashem Abedi, who's serving life imprisonment with a minimum term of 55 years, that attacked 3 prison officers at HMP Frankland.

He's not the messiah; he's a very naughty boy (mortgage fraud, beating up women and police etc...)
