Featured Replies

Whats with the sugar obsession here? everything is sickly sweet, especially the iced coffees.. seems thai people have a very sweet tooth and it's probably the main factor in the rise of obesity here in the last 20 years.

How can I ask for wan nid noi when its already mixed in the coffee dispenser?

Yeah, this topic has been discussed more than a few times. Learn what foods/drinks have them, then avoid them if you choose. For me it was the local mayo. HORRID stuff, I wound up dumping the garbage down the crapper. Then I found "KEWPIE" brand. Tastes like the real deal.

I keep asking if they add sugar to the fresh pressed juices they sell on the side of the road.

They insist they don't add sugar.

Does anybody know for sure?

Whats with the multiple member accounts here? everything is sickly redundant, especially the repeating topics.. seems this poster has a serious identity crisis and it's probably the main factor in the creation of so many different usernames in this forum here in the last 12 months.

From what I've noticed it's just squeezed juice. Only way to know is repeat visits and watching them prepare the drinks. Sugar is an obsession here as everywhere else, so they think people automatically want what others, or they want. Like another said, you can tell them not to add sugar. I carry my own sugar free sweetener, Equal usually with me when I get an iced coffee outside my home, and tell them no sugar and hand them the Equal.

I might even start taking my butter with me to restaurants to make sure they don't cook the food in seed oils.

Not saying it's the case here but it surely is with a few others. They change their usernames and come back and act the same way, and think they aren't noticed by older foreigners, who have seen all the scams in life for many decades. It isn't hard to spot a certain way of writing, choosing similar usernames and how they retaliate. Fooling no one.

where do you buy coffee? Coffee in a dispenser?

I think he means those tanks of garishly coloured liquids being continuously stirred by electric paddles in 7/11.

Either buy it from the cafe, and specify no sugar, or if you want a quick cheap coffee use one of those Nescafe red plastic bags, the ones with separate sachets of coffee, creamer and sugar.

It is the case here, so it seems he’s fooling someone here. 🙄

Or at least thinking he does. Some understand but remain silent. Others like to express their thoughts and call them out. Some don't like to accuse without definite proof.

Im only addicted to weed and hookers, bob. So far no obesity issues. Any other brilliant ideas?

All humans have a sweet tooth. So do Macaques, carry a bottle of sweet tea at Angkor Wat or Lopburi to see.

If the name, claiming/admitting to living here for decades but just joining on Thursday, the whining about Thai people, complaining about happy ending massages, and in his monumental stupidity and ignorance, posting 29 times in 72 hours wasn’t enough for you…

Do you know anyone that pathetically starved for attention with absolutely nothing to do except post nonsense here every hour or two all day?

Trust me, I know already, but just don't like accusing without that definite proof.

Nothing wrong with enjoying sweets. It's when they become an addiction, and those sweets comprise a large percentage of your daily calories, that they become dangerous.

You think Thailand is obsessed? Ever been to the Philippines?

Careful. The Kewpie products come in various  recipes, and most Kewpie mayonnaise based  products are full of sugar.  Only the Japanese style  mayonnaise  option has no sugar. Kewpie Thailand  does not declare the preservatives in its  products. Nor does it declare  thickening agent (processed starch, xanthan gum), seasoning (amino acid), or acidulant, In the EU and  USA  it must be declared.

Tartar Sauce Japanese Style KEWPIE Brand : Soybean oil 37%, Eggs 17%, Sugar 14%, Onion 9%, Distilled vinegar 4%, Salt 2%

Mayonnaise Mild Type KEWPIE Brand:  Soybean oil 74%, Eggs 12%, Sugar 6%, Vinegar 4%

Sandwich Spread KEWPIE Brand:  Soybean oil 43%, Sugar 18%, Pickled cucumber 9%, Egg yolk 6%, Vinegar 4%, Carrot 3%

Salad Cream KEWPIE:  Soybean oil 53%, Sugar 17%, Fructose syrup 7%, Vinegar 6%, Egg yolk 5%
