restaurants and pubs with live pop/rock in style of hops brewhouse

Featured Replies

Are these any other recommendable pubs or restaurants with live pop/rock music in the style hops brewhouse in Pattaya or around?
(I am more interested in the music than the food)

Rock Factory, if you're looking for rock and heavy metal.

It's more for the music than the food, but they have several food options.
But it's not quiet like Hops and it's open-air, without air conditioning.

Yes, I went there the other day. It's rather different. It's more like hard rock. Brewhouse is more like poprock from the 80's and 90's mixed with classic (Enzo, the Italian guy, has an incredible voice). We're into 80's, 90's, poprock and even Thai poprock. It was rather disappointing for us. But I can imagine it's great for people that like the style.

The Stones' house is really popular just past the walking street sign.  Always packed with Thais and farang.

Would Tahitian Queen qualify

The Stones' House, more than a restaurant with live music, is a bar with music that also serves food.

The only time I've been there, there was a band playing Thai pop music at a deafening volume. I endured as long as I could, but eventually I left and haven't returned.

How about the Rolling Live on soi 8, is that still going?  (Or has Nick Dean bought it?)

He was actually the drummer in a band back in the day. So you might see him play every now and then. Good to hear he's still doing his thing.

I have been there too. Too loud for me too:  so loud it was painful. And the waiters came to ask every single minute which snacks we wanted. I had to wait 20 minutes for my change after I paid with a 1000 B. bill.  (I don't mind Thai pop music. I actually like some Thai songs.)

They are on spotify. They did like experiental rock. What really amazes me is that he still looks this good 50 years later.
