And don’t be surprised if it was the mother that pimped her out. I doubt the “financial transactions” used to catch this guy involved the victims own bank accounts. Someone else made money off the illegal act and it should be easy for the cops to identify them, assuming they aren’t paid off.

"Visiting her Mother" sounds a little suspect, like possible trafficking. I've never been to Pattaya, but isn't the usual that the grandparents keep them up in the village while the mother works, then they go home to visit the child every once in a while not send them down for a visit?

Mother works in a bar, it's low season and customers are probably hard to come by at the moment. Maybe (I repeat, maybe) the mother may have been looking at other revenue streams and maybe put her daughter in danger.

 

Additionally they mention financial transactions which indicates a bank transfer and not cash. A 13 year old probably doesn't have a bank account so if this is the case then he paid an adult.

The girl was confined in a house, for the purpose of prostitution, which had nothing to do with the french guy (or it would have been mentioned that this french dude confined her).

 

During the course of her being confined, she would have been made to have sex with others, perhaps many people.

 

The police find a lead to this french guy and track him down.  He may not have been "evading" arrest, possibly not even knowing that he was wanted for this crime.

 

And the cops are now searching for the others she had sex with.  Not enough mentioned about WHO confined her, nor WHO forced her into prostitution!

About 6 years ago the owner of a bar in Ban Chang near Pattaya a town which is probably known by a few AT members was apparently pimping out her 14 year old daughter until the police got involved.

A large tea money contribution was paid I understand and a promise not to do it anymore
