I'd start with banning the British, Americans and Australians. But then the tattoo dumps would go out of business

Where are you from?

  • Sounds like four fine candidates for the Russian army. Perhaps Thai Immigration can assist...

  • A blanket ban on Russian, Ukrainian, Albanian, Bulgarian, Czech, Polish and all other East European countries would swiftly solve these issues.

  • Obviously looking for trouble, so easy solution. Escort to hotel then airport. One incident can be anything, three means intent.

And what about the Thais?

Actually, given that these Russians attacked Thai rappers, can we really fault them? They picked the right Thais...

What's worse? Rappers or Russians?

I thought Walking street was a cess pit when I first visited 25 yrs ago , but at least there were a few decent gogos that were fun for not much $ . Since then it`s gone downhill fast . I wouldn`t be sad if I never saw that place again . Try going during the day , and it becomes even clearer what a dump it is .

Don't drag this thread down with your cheap and base political points scoring. Can't we even have sensible discussions in peace anymore?

I accept the point, the Brits also have their problem contingents, as do the Australians. However, if we curtail these nations then there will be nobody.

Particularly after the Indians and Chinese are banned.

And there is a difference between anti-social drunks and quasi murderous mafia criminals who wrestle with bears.

You are very keen to deport and ban people based upon their national origin, despite there being no evidence of wrongdoing.  The more appropriate  option is for you to self remove.

Your demand that "east Europeans" be banned  is anti-social  hateful because many have done no harm. When is the last time a Pole, or Slovenian or Hungarian, or Cypriot or a Greek has  caused problems in Thailand? You spit out hateful venom like a tormented serpent.  Such a person  is neither needed, nor wanted in a peaceful society. You can go back to your homeland and reminisce of walking with your hairy "armenian" friend from there. Perhaps, even relive your days at an "elite"private school, and sitting at the computer, plotting your new society.

A couple of nights in detention and then send them back to Russia.  If they are all about fighting let them go to the front lines and fight against Ukraine.

Well they are only teenagers.

So I think a better approach would be to put them in the Soi 9 cells for a couple of weeks with the local amphetamine addicted Ladyboys from the coconut bar to give them a really good seeing to before their trip back home,

Doubt they can just get them straight onto a plane, so a spell in some detention centre likely and deserved.

What's a Rapper?

Conscription age!  Go straight to Ukraine; guns & uniforms will be provided.

I suspect there is many Russians here that do not want to get enlisted in the war, you would think they would fly low and behave

Not harass dope shops and look for street fights, deport them.

Something you get on a Snickers Bar.

What is a Rapper? Why are they famous? What have they accomplished? I have never heard of them and have been in Thailand for 20 years.

That was funny.

Blurry lines between the two though. I find drunk blue collar Brits/Aussies tourists to be way more volatile and (with a seemingly much lower standard of education) than the bear wrestler tourists from similar demographics.

I once had a friend form Armenia. We both went to an elite private international school. This Armenian kid was different. He was essentially a man at 14. We would be walking down the street, and he would want to bump into strangers on purpose just to provoke a fight. For no reason! Other than to prove his masculinity. He would dare you. This is the character of the East European. They are not like us. They are not like Brits, Americans, Germans...East Europeans culturally thrive on violence. The Weimaraner was bred to hunt bears. Chechens wrestle with bears. These are not normal people.

Some time back I was walking down a Glasgow street late at night, it was a wide pavement and four Eastern Europeans were walking towards me pointing at me and started shouting in a foreign language.

One of them started walking fast towards me, I then got of my mark and started running. Good job I was a fast runner.

Teaching them by a beating doesn't make anyone change but want to get revenge, and with teens that revenge comes in innocents .And putting them in a cell might also get others besides them hurt. Teenagers can still be taught restraint, and that doesn't come from force. Prisons show what happens to people who hurt others.

What kind of teenagers at their 18-19?! I understand about -teen, but that's all. Typical Russian thugs who think the whole world owes them because Putin is always telling them "they're chosen"...

And most of them consider all Asians "Chinese" and of lower kind of human beings.

we talking geographically or politically? True the democratic Czechoslovakia was sold out to the Nazis and then the Russians. But the Czechs are a Western oriented nation. And that is why, in part, there was a Velvet Divorce with the more eastern oriented Slovakia.

Any country east of Germany, Austria and Italy is Eastern Europe or belongs to the Balkan countries.

Central Europe lies between Eastern and Western Europe. The nations of Central Europe are Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Germany.

I know, I know, but Thailand doesn't have the ability to weed out trouble makers a priori, finances won't do it.

So the only option is a blanket ban really.

I'm confused by your logic: they won't weed out troublemakers because they want the income they get from them - so they should ban entire countries and the income they get from them?

I'd have to agree, the Russians are often highly educated. Brits and Aussies, eehhh, hit and miss...

Put it this way, what tourists want to come to a hell hole where violence, intimidation and thuggery reign? If they don't start implementing new rules, there'll be no income at all.

This is what happens when one let's in all the teenage or middle aged junkies from all over the world on visa free. And in a very absurd manner, on the other side, Thailand makes a fuss when decent retirees aged over 50 or 55 want to stay a bit longer with a minimum visa hassle. Not saying they are fools but the authorities are doing it all wrong.

How can they afford to live in Thailand?  Rich parents ?

Has the demographics changed? When the Russians first started coming here, they seemed to be mostly belligerent, poorly mannered drunkards. The Thais were scared of them.
