Why are most people absolutely okay with alcohol, but not weed? Lol! Good question! I guess it is the "War against drugs" that has been brainwashing people to think all drugs are BAD! I say alchohol is so much worse. In my long life, lived through the 60s and 70s, I never saw anyone smoking getting in trouble with fighting and the like. Those drinking did that a lot! Weed has got a bad name due to this I guess...and the lame politicians that have no clue what weed is. Bars are losing customers too! Take a look at the alchoholics roaming the streets at night making things dangerous for people! Any weed user doing that? Also notice all the billions of dollars being used in the fight against drugs. Some people earn a lot of money. Take on the hard drugs and leave the weed alone....as long as they do not spice it up to levels that can make an elephant fall!!😂😆

Feed them when they get the munchies, instead of picking them up dead drunks at the bars. Smoking pot a few days a week, or a bottle of wine, even 6 beers, I see no difference, There is no difference between those who smoke every day, drink every day either, just wasting their life and have only excuses left. Sad if they have family

Haven't watched it in a long time,so cannot remember the details too well ... but he's not a proponent of even moderate drinking. The problem is people cannot deal with the stress of life, and alcohol is a relief pressure valve. To expect most people to quit completely is not realistic. But I don't drink at all anymore. I just deal with the <deleted>edupness in my brain as best I can without intoxicants, apart from coffee.

And after that, some people easily move on and try harder and harder drugs. I don’t know that that is true. I smoked cigarettes for tons of years, and back then it was also said smoking will lead to other drugs. Never did for me, an no one I know. Actually, I tried smoking cannabis once, 45yrs ago 🤣, got so nauseous, never tried it again. Could actually do with some now since having occasional sleep onset problems. Managed to quit cigarettes and started vaping, got healthier lungs (medically proven), but now that’s illegal!!! Go figure. What becomes legal or not seems to depend on the amount of 💰 changing hands. It’s nonsense to believe that the authorities care about its citizens’ health, an argument which is used when it serves them. Unfortunately seems like our so called “healthcare” also cares about 💰coming in for treating problems rather than curing/preventing them.
June 21, 2025Jun 21 When I was young, in my 20s, I smoked weed, but I don't care to do that anymore. I also don't drink a lot now. They both make me feel the opposite of the way I want to feel. I want to be awake and alert, not sleepy and drowsy.

Unfortunately, this has become the norm these days rather than the exceptions.
June 21, 2025Jun 21 The percentage of the population in Thailand that now uses cannabis after it was decriminalized is at around 10% and some estimates have it even higher. So it's not a small number. There are also quite a few countries where the usage is near to or above 20% of the population, including countries like the US and Canada. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/cannabis-use-by-country

They were much easier to get and much easier to use in nightclubs, whereas it was impossible to smoke weed in a club. The only drug I didn't like was smack. Tried it once, hated how it made me feel and never touched it again. All the others are great fun.

Why are most people absolutely okay with alcohol, but not weed? Easy answer, myself and many others want to have a clear mind, without drugs in the system. I also drive a car in the crazy traffic and have my daily routines for staying healthy, they do not include tobacco or weed. Occasionally I do enjoy a glass of wine or beer. Please do not compare weed with a glass of red wine.

June 21, 2025Jun 21 I would smoke weed on principal when it was illegal as I believe the government has no right telling me what I can smoke. what I can drink. Now it's legal I no longer have a point to make. Mind you a lot of illegal substances are nasty so I would not touch them but weed is harmless.

June 22, 2025Jun 22 I buy in weed shops when I come into BKK just to taste whats out there. I found Moon Rocks in one and some great sift hash in another. The prices are stupid but its a one off. I always have enough to get by anyway. Price wise, this is interesting I pay $3 a gram for Popcorn Kush Mints in Siem. I paid 350 B for Popcorn Kush Mints in BKK, Sukhumvit I paid $60 for 14g of popcorn Kush Mints in LA at LAXCC. Thats $40 plus $20 tax. All three are essentially the same. The Cambodia stuff comes from Thailand, obviously.

Cannabis is far safer than red wine: In January 2023, the World Health Organization (WHO) released a statement emphasizing that "no level of alcohol consumption is safe for our health." This conclusion is based on current scientific evidence, which does not support the existence of a threshold below which alcohol consumption is free from health risks. The WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has also highlighted that even light or moderate drinking increases the risk of cancer, and thus, no safe amount can be established.
June 22, 2025Jun 22 Same reason most people don't abuse alcohol, drugs, or even food. They simply chose a better, healthier lifestyle for themselves.
June 22, 2025Jun 22 I grew up in the Baby Boomer generation making us the generation with the highest levels of alcohol-related issues. When I was working in the U.S. Government, they did constant "No Notice" urinalysis laboratory tests to check if you are using any illegal drugs. My employment was more important to me, and I really never wanted to try anything that at that time was "ILLEGAL!" "CHEERS!"
