Pattaya especially can be a dangerous place where you can get yourself killed. Because guys are getting involved with bar girls with shady friends and shady morals. And what happens when you stop giving them money? 

 

I totally agree, two decades here and I've had less problems with the local people then I've had in America or elsewhere. I find most Thais to be absolutely lovely, and I find most Thai men to be indifferent, but not hostile in any manner.

 

Like you say if you do something stupid or if you're disrespectful, all bets are off. But as long as you behave in a respectful manner, if you walk around with a light heart and a pleasant look on your face, Thais are absolutely delightful. Perhaps living in Pattaya is the issue here. It's a nasty town from Soi Bukkhao west.

I would have thought the price was market determined and one can not blame working girls for charging what they can get.The truth is of course that pretty charming girls do appear in the bars from time to time but they very rapidly disappear to pastures new, once they become aware of their worth.In every country and age pretty charming girls from poor backgrounds (and boys for that matter though trickier for them)  rise in the social scale.Though it's a universal trait, Thai girls seem particularly adept at it.To be honest this phenomenon is more apparent in the middle class Thai bars than Pattaya with its predominantly loser client base. If we have to label a group 'stupid', I would opt for the gormless farang punters - the majority of which to use your expression are old,fat and ugly.

It's not a matter of hating every foreigner, it's just the nasty, disrespectful foreigners.

I arrived in Thailand in my 30's, working with the Thai's, Thailand has been my home over 20 years, Thai's are the nicest people I have ever met.

I often see these nasty, disrespectful foreigners bullying the Thai people, talking tough, yelling abuse, shouting like an idiot, a Thai guy is no match for an obese foreigner.

I actually like seeing these foreigners getting their just deserts, at times you need 10 Thai's to control these wild animals. 
 

The question that needs to be asked is why so many here hate the Thai's. I'm sure some here are bitter and penny less, have married a bar girl and now you're unhappy with yourself and Thailand because she's old and weathered, always having sex with Somchai. 

 

I see so many angry, miserable, hateful comments on different threads from members who are sat day in, day out on their warrior keyboards. 

 

Thinking about a relationship with a bar / Patts street lady ? Use extreme caution and choose carefully , most have lots of issues / mental health problems . Don`t ask me how I know 😰
