The new Thai Cabinet has been finalised, with the Prime Minister, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, also assuming the role of Minister of Culture.

The detailed list, now presented to the King, outlines significant appointments aimed at strengthening the government.

Phumtham Vechayachai transitions from the Ministry of Defence to take over as Minister of Interior, while General Nataphol Nakpanich steps into the role of Defence Minister. Sudawan Wangsupakijkosol has been repositioned to oversee Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

Additional noteworthy appointments include Phongkwan Jungroongruangkit as Labour Minister and Jatuporn Buruspat taking the helm at the Commerce Ministry.

Suchart Chomklin and Det-Ism Khawthong join the Interior Ministry as Deputy Ministers, reinforcing the government's focus on internal affairs.

Meanwhile, Narumon Pinyosinwat is appointed as Education Minister, and Atthakorn Srilatthayakorn takes charge of the Agriculture Ministry.

These strategic changes are crafted to drive innovation and stability across various sectors, ensuring effective governance and progressive development for Thailand.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn now becomes minister of Thainess.

Having someone who sits down when they pee as culture minister will not impress the "yellow underpants brigade"!

She might stand up and pee in the shower.

who made the various appointments, one would expect it to be the PM herself but something about the way the OP is written makes me think otherwise.  No doubt "daddy" was involved

This seems more like a strategic move to keep her in the government if she is removed as the PM.

A very crafty move, appointing herself as Culture Minister.  Why ?

Because if the Constitutional Court decides that there is a case to answer regarding her phone call to Hun Sen, and they decide to temporarily remove her as PM, she can still cling onto her post in the cabinet.

At a time when she has shown to be incapable, possessing poor judgment by revealing intimate details to the pig dictator Hun Sen, which brings into question her judgment, intellectual capacity and her ability as a leader, she is given even more responsibility?

How ridiculous can this entire thing become and how low can this administration go?

Taking on the role of Minister of Culture is less obnoxious than PM Prayut taking Minister of Defense.
