Sorry to hear you are having a bad day.

I’m not.

This bill is going to cause a lot of unnecessary suffering, but it will deliver the payback the Republicans deserve.

You will be so disappointed.

Or, if given the chance, and his administration isn't derailed come mid terms, maybe it will help turn things around for the good.

As nothing has seemed to work, since I entered the workforce, since the early 70s.  Two work sectors I worked in went belly up.   3 out of 4 airlines I worked for went belly up.

2 brothers had long careers with companies with defense contracts, so wars are profitable.   Other brother worked in public transportation, unprofitable company supported by tax subsidies.  Most others I know, struggled making ends meet, in the best of times, working for companies.

Seems only people that prospered that I know, as myself, were self employed.

What happened to reducing the deficit?

People working for companies prospered for decades, they were the post war middle class.

Then Republicans delivered neoliberalism, it’s been downhill for blue collar workers and the middle class ever since.

The hyper wealthy have done rather well out of the ‘trickle down economics’ lie.

Reading comprehension, once again ... "since I entered the workforce, since the early 70s'

Yes, decades 'post war' were boom time, till they stopped.  Around the 70's.  Unless working in Oil/Gas & War sectors, which work hand in hand together quite well.

It seems the BBB has passed.

The US Empire is about 200 years old. This BBB will ensure that the US empire has reached it's peak already. Many ways for an Empire to decline, but a sure fire way to achieve this is "financial overextension". The budget deficit will baloon out of control over the next few years.

As a footnote: Already today, every 5th Tax Dollar must be spent just to service the national dept. Thanks to the BBB it will get worse. Accelerating the "financial overextension" greatly.

You dont have and never have had an empire unless you consider the one in your mind.

Most of the 'painful' provisions of the BBB won't take effect until the end of 2026 - after the midterm elections. So the Republicans will be insulated from the consequences of the bill.  Also the fiscal ill effects - the increased deficit - won't be felt until there is another president.

The BBB is basically an economic time bomb that will hit the US hard in the coming years.

You don’t care about the debt.

Especially when they are  from places where all they do is suck our engorged money dribbler while cursing us.

What's it like being friends with Europeans and australians? They suck out your bank account, hide behind your skirts,  then insult you to their friends.

Under the new law, student loans for medical school will be capped at $200,000. The CHEAPEST medical schools are $270k with the median cost of non-state schools being closer to $370,000.
Had this law been in effect when I went to school, I would not have been able to attend.
Middle class families don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars to send their kids to school. This means medical school will now only be an option for the wealthy. Combine that with a devastation of reimbursement by removing 12 million Americans from medicaid and we are facing a catastrophe in who will be providing healthcare for generations.

Reuters July 3 As part of the tax package, lawmakers raised the U.S. government's $36.1 trillion borrowing limit that it was projected to hit later this summer by $5 trillion – a move that will assuage concerns over a possible default on U.S. debt.
Analysts had estimated the so-called X-date, when the Treasury would no longer be able to pay all of its obligations without an increase or suspension of the debt limit, could have occurred at the end of August or in early September.
Longer term, however, the bill has largely been seen as bad news for the U.S. bond market and the nation's fiscal health. It will add $3.4 trillion to the nation's debt over the next decade, nonpartisan analysts have estimated.

I do not think the government should be in the student loan business. Let the universities carry their own paper, and there will be fewer students, and the price will come down.

And middle class families would not have to come up with “hundreds of thousands of dollars”. Per your post, they would only have to come up with $70k.

Already too many people getting useless degrees on the public teat.
