Jaguar sales in Europe plunged a shocking 97.5% following a botched rebrand that included a commercial featuring men in skirts to announce its upcoming pivot toward an all-electric fleet

it was my understaning they dont even make a car right now,

what a balls up. 
 

 

My take is that the CEO is a "bit woke" and they maybe thought they could break into the Subaru market. 

I'm surprised they have lasted this long.....

Jaguar have been pulling back all their existing car models - and plan to release new Eco-models EVs later this year. Meanwhile the real world has moved towards Hybrids and fuel efficient Cars, because the infrastructure is not ready for EVs and the electricity costs are so high.  This lunacy to replace coal, gas and nuclear power stations with massively expensive and inefficient wind and solar power generation is the same mentality that has driven Jaguar and many others broke. Electric cars are the future - when cheap abundant electricity is provided by nuclear power stations (fusion one day, but fission until then).  Thew woke liberal mindset has caused a lot of problems over the last 2-3 decades - and it will take a while for it all to go back to reality.

The brand is a dead. It will not survive this. Maybe one of the positives is that its death will ensure Aston Martin survives 

Gillette in the States narrowly missed disaster with their Woke nonsense.

 

Fortunately they're back now with fantastic ads featuring teenage NBA phenom Grady Dick and the clean shaven campaign.

 

Jagwar can suck on it for polluting my mind with this Woke crap. And the new font choice for the company branding is a dud.

 

Come on Jag, you used to be James Bond cool and you made cool looking cars.

 

Get back to basics. Get back to what made you great.

They have stopped making ICE cars, moved to producing EV’s, which I read should be in full swing by next year.....🤗

I had a CooperS front mounted distributor. Absolutely no troubles. I was simply pandering to US perceptions.🤭

Me too, the only thing I recall from back then was the voltage regulator, same with mini and my MGB.
