I would, but the 7-11s in CM don't sell it.

I just had another absolutely scrumptious delivery from Spirt of India yesterday.

Chicken dum biryani (mostly chicken on the bone) wonderfully spiced, smooth melt in your mouth dal tadka, and plain nan. Raita and pickles included. Enough food for two meals.

I will be trying Spirit of India on your recommendation...Except for the Honest Indian most of my Indian food orders have been real so-so at best...

Makes you wonder if the myriad of Indian restaurants first order of business is to provide food. :coffee1:

ha.  I know of a few that are plain and simple immigration doorways.  The Owner gets the Indians in as required cooking experts, or cultural experts, etc.  I do not have a firm figure on how much they charge the then migrant person or his parents to act as his sponsor to get him in.  What I really don't get is how in every Indian place I went in to a few years ago, the server/waiter was Indian.  I thought those sort of jobs had to be done by Thais

As another member explained to you, the restaurants receive the orders online, the drivers / riders just come to pick them up.  The drivers / riders do not go to the restaurant and place the order and then sit around waiting for it to be cooked.

Some people in glass houses throw stones when they have no idea how a system works that they comment on.  :cheesy:

Amazing you can't imagine the Indians could be Thai citizens, there are a lot of them who are.

My experience has been that Thais will say they don't like Indian food having never tried it but going by the small from Indian restaurants. It is all in the head as whenever I invited Thais with me to eat in an India restaurant they ended up raving about how good it was.

Oh yeah! I remember now. In the bus parking lot at the Alcazar Cabaret.
But it's a vegan restaurant.

The Thai restaurant next to Honest Indian serves the best Thai food in Pattaya

I know how it works when sitting there for an excessive time in a restaurant for my food and seeing several lazy fatso orders go out of the door in the meantime. Covid is over, time sad people got out of their bedsits and went out for a sit down meal!

I never said they could not be Thai citizens.  You are making a very hasty generalization and assuming things.  Typical of many people these days

Yes i was in a large agogo on Walking Street last night. Had dozens of girls and the rent must be enormous. Just a few customers. How can they be making any profit?

It's a miracle.

Well you called them Indian, not Thai.  Then suggested they were not Thais.  So I guess that it is about poor writing.  Typical of many people these days.

So you are one of those last word type of people eh?  They are ethic Indians.  They may also be Thai citizens or have dual nationality.  Grow up.  And again you are making assumptions but of course will not stop

Clearly, you don't.

Yes I also know when my post has been cut to change the meaning, which by the way is against the rules.

That's interesting.

Others have complained that local Indian places don't use ghee at all. Oil instead.

Did you try the biryani?

No - Mine was Chicken Tika Masala (with Garlic Nan) - taste was ok, but the swimming in oil / Ghee has put me off using them again....

The search goes on ..

Wish I could-persuade the OH that good Indian food is awesome.   Will keep searching for excellent Indian (Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani) in Bangkok.  Recommendations much appreciated.

Fair enough.

I'm curious to try India Gate.
