July 6, 2025Jul 6 Popular Post Elon Musk Launches New Political Force: The America Party Elon Musk has announced the formation of a new political party in the United States, marking a dramatic escalation in his growing involvement in the nation’s political landscape. The billionaire entrepreneur, known for his leadership of Tesla, SpaceX, and X (formerly Twitter), revealed on Saturday that he had created what he is calling the "America Party." The move follows Musk's recent and very public falling-out with President Donald Trump. Although once a vocal supporter of the Trump administration's policies, particularly on business deregulation and space exploration, Musk has increasingly distanced himself from the former president, citing concerns over political dysfunction and corruption. In a post on his social media platform X, Musk, 54, explained that the decision to launch the America Party came in direct response to a poll he conducted online the previous day. “By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it!” Musk wrote Saturday evening. “When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste and graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.” Though the details of the new party’s platform have not been publicly disclosed, Musk's language suggests it will position itself as an alternative to what he sees as a corrupt bipartisan status quo. His post was a sharp rebuke of both Democratic and Republican leadership, hinting that the America Party could attempt to draw disillusioned voters from across the political spectrum. Musk has increasingly used X as a platform to share his political opinions and policy critiques, often with a tone that blends libertarian ideals with populist frustration. The announcement of the America Party marks his most concrete step yet into formal political organizing, rather than simply voicing support or opposition to candidates or ideas. The billionaire’s foray into political party formation is also likely to send shockwaves through both major parties. Trump’s camp has not yet responded to Musk’s statement, but the timing of the announcement—just months ahead of the general election—could prove disruptive, especially if the America Party attempts to field candidates or influence the national conversation. Whether Musk's new party will become a meaningful force in American politics or simply a vehicle for protest against the existing system remains to be seen. But with his vast financial resources, massive social media reach, and growing cadre of online supporters, Musk has once again positioned himself as a powerful—and unpredictable—player in the American political arena. July 7, 2025Jul 7 Interesting. As a life-long Libertarian that normally votes Republican, I welcome the change and the opposition/alternative. God Bless Donald Trump for rocking the boat. Elon wants to start over & I say God Bless Elon as well.

Democrats and Republican parties have too much power and one of them will win any elections. Independents like this one will never gain traction to outnumber the other parties.

Too early for a split' in Thai govt.................... ???
July 7, 2025Jul 7 Popular Post What's his party's chief aim? Raising America's jobless rate to the max possible level? Kicking as many as workers out of their jobs, as he already demonstrated in the past months?
July 7, 2025Jul 7 Some interesting statement from a seemingly worried Maga die heart. Laura Loomer, Trump's whisperer sound the warning that this could trigger Reoublican defections and split the party's base. She predict that Tucker, MTG and Thomas Massie will join the Anerica Party to spite Trump.
July 7, 2025Jul 7 Interesting. Whilst Musk may attract votes from both camps, I would suggest that his main effect will be to split the Republican vote - his adventures with the Trump Administration probably means that his brand is too tainted with the Democrats. With so many elections in the US so close, his antics may have some impact. As for wealth; is not much of his wealth derived from government subsidies and contracts with his variously companies. I somehow dont see even as open minded and non judgemental a President as Mr Trump allowing that to continue!

July 7, 2025Jul 7 Popular Post I detest Elon Musk almost as much as I detest Trump, but as a US citizen, I hope his American Party is successful enough to draw enough people away from the Republican Party for the Democrats to once again take control of all three branches of government.
July 7, 2025Jul 7 America needs a People's Party, not another Dictator Party. Better yet, reformulate Congress into a parliamentary system.

Democrats have to reinvent themselves big time to become responsible custodians and not sure they're up to it.

You said exactly what I was thinking! Let's hope it happens.

Both MAGA and the new Elon party (which would have been a more apt name) are not really political parties with a vision, agenda, etc. -- they are both the extensions of a single person. MAGA without DT did not do well in the 2018 midterms. One would have to be a fool to think Elon would be fair or democratic: like with DT the true motto of the party will be "ME ME ME!" Let's see who his stooge for the 2028 race will be. I'm waiting for winds to shift on Tesla. Like Steve Jobs he may be fired from his own company, the difference here, though, is EM has enough leverage to buy it back and take it private, or maybe take it to a country where the people are better behaved, like Hungary or Belarus. Another thing to watch for is that the powers-that-be may come up with some espionage charges against the naturalized citizen. People with a bent toward democracy and a belief that people, in general, should be treated decently, should do a show of support for Elon's party at this point. Divide and conquer.

July 8, 2025Jul 8 The stated purpose of the party, to build a "centrist" alternative, doesn't make sense when Elon's main criticism of the Democrats and Republicans is that they're a "uniparty." A uniparty by definition contains the main aims and purposes of the parties. That is, it is centrist.
July 8, 2025Jul 8 After Donald Trump's incredibly toxic takeover of the Republican Party some alternatives are certainly needed. There are a lot of conservatives out there who despise Trump and resent his extreme influence on anyone and anything republican. And there are a lot of Democrats out there like myself, who are moderate and centrist, and do not relate to anything PC, do not relate to the woke movement or the transgender movement, or the so called progressives, and so many other things that the Democrats seem to be pandering to. Go Elon go. Take some of the steam out of the circus goons momentum.

I've always said the difference between right-wing capitalists and left-wing socialists is just the first letter of a two-letter word. Right-wing capitalists are, as you say above, "ME ME ME!" Left-wing socialists are "WE WE WE!"
