I wonder if "Mr. Raf" might be a wannabe Pattaya vlogger, hoping to attract views through posting confrontational videos.  It's a common tactic in the U.S.  Videos that feature confrontation, especially when it gets violent, receive a lot more views than the "happy" stuff.  But as Mr. Raf found out, Thailand is a bad place for that style of vlogging.  The risk of street justice is high.

I didn't say Thailand is more dangerous than the U.S.  It isn't.  But Thailand is a bad place for intrusive vloggers because people will sometimes take action when provoked.  Do you remember this idiot?

 

 

There are other examples as well.  Please note I used the word "intrusive."  Vloggers who don't create a deliberate confrontation run little risk in Thailand when filming in the street.

Outside the bar is accepted, but can be problematic. Inside the bar without consent will get your head split.  I once had a bar lady take my phone so she have a picture together of us.  Honestly I was concerned the owner might get upset. Lol.
