A violent altercation erupted in the early hours of the morning between a group of South Korean tourists dining together at a popular hotpot and barbecue restaurant in Pattaya, resulting in chaos, broken property and police intervention.

The incident occurred at approximately 03:30 on 11 July at a restaurant located in Soi Phettrakul, Moo 6, Pattaya. Dramatic footage shared widely on social media shows the group engaging in a fierce brawl, throwing glasses, punching and causing a commotion that left other diners stunned.

Patrol officers from Pattaya City Police Station, led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Panasarn Khrongsit, were dispatched to the scene following reports of the disturbance. Upon arrival, officers detained four South Korean nationals involved in the fight. All four were reportedly friends seated at the same table who had an internal dispute that spiralled into violence.

The group was taken to Pattaya City Police Station for questioning. The restaurant owner accompanied police and filed a complaint for property damage and unpaid food bills caused during the altercation. Initial estimates placed the damages at 50,000 baht per person involved in the fight.

Police charged the tourists with disturbing the peace and public affray. After discussions at the station, the individuals agreed to pay for all damages and food costs incurred. They were subsequently fined and released.

Social media has been sharing a clip of a fight between a group of Korean tourists. The clip is so violent that they throw glasses at each other's faces and jump and punch each other, causing chaos without any concern for other customers in the restaurant. The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on July 11, 2025 at the Jim Jum - Moo Krata restaurant in Soi Petchtrakul Road, Village 6, Na Kluea Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. After the incident, Pol. Lt. Panasarn Krongsit, Deputy Chief of the Pattaya City Police Station, led a team of patrol officers to inspect the area and took the group of 4 Koreans (2 people on each side) for questioning at the Pattaya City Police Station. The restaurant owner also traveled to provide information to the police officers. After taking them in for questioning, it was initially learned that the restaurant had taken legal action against the Korean tourists for damaging property in the restaurant, including the cost of all food in the restaurant. Initially, the 2 Korean tourists talked and reached an agreement. and agreed to pay all damages to the shop. The police prosecuted the case on charges of fighting together before comparing and fined both parties. Most recently, the reporter went to the scene of the incident and tried to ask the shop staff for information, but no one dared to give any information, so it is not known what caused the fight to the point of opening a fist fight in the middle of the restaurant.

Best fight I've seen in ages

Agree, it beats the ladyboy's bashing the Indians with their stilettos on beach road.

The Korean guy with the vest tattoo was using his head as a punching bag. 😂

I am surprised  that our resident gumshoes have missed;

- Participants were males, early 30's

- Many of the  males had full  body tattoos, or heavy back tattoos.  The thug/gangster class in South Korea is  identified by this type of tattooing.

I will not be surprised if those were  members of a criminal group having a group dinner and a fight arose over money distribution.

Thats right Mike, never happens anywhere else at 3.30 in the morning with a bellyful of beer.

Have you bothered reading the rest of the news in today's 'Thailand Live?'

That bloody moronic music.

Put it down to the slop they eat at those places.

Thailand is slowly devolving back into a Third World country.

Guy in white has obviously been taking something , has issues or shouldn't drink !!

Put them on a plane to North Korea, that should give em time to figure out where it all went wrong.

I thought only Brits enjoy a good punch up among friends.

Apparently it turned out the guy sitting down was Chinese and nicked the last prawn. 😅🤣🤬
