Its being reported this morning that Donald Trump  has been snubbed from speaking to Parliment during his visit in Sept while Macron had the red carpet treatment from Parliment and the open coach to the Houses of Parliment, and to upset him More he is getting the cold shoulder by being refused a invite to Buckingham Palace " Ouch "

According to one channel I've been following, there is a complex dynamic where Buckingham Palace actually has still been wielding power over the US presidents to this day. And Trump is breaking free or trying to break free.

Still not sure if this theory is valid, but I will continue to follow this channel.

And it does seem to align with what you just mentioned. Buckingham Palace hates Trump because he's not following their playbook.

And here is a recent quote about Trump from Lord Wallace sth sth speaking to the House of Lords.

The UK Parliament is closed during September for recess , so Donald would be in Parliament on his own if he went there , because all the UK Politicians would be on holiday .

Donald couldn't speak there because its closed in September

There's always January.

He's playing golf at his golf club in Scotland.

I have a sneaky suspicion, given the choice, he would rather be lording it over us minions and address the UK parliament.

One of the complaints about Donald is that he spends much of his time on the golf course .

Donald wants to visit his new golf club in Scotland and the anti Trump mob are trying to turn it into some kind of snub (from the UK Parliament)

Keir Starmer has agreed to meet Trump in Scotland this month to discuss the details of the upcopming state visit.

This thread is FAKE NEWS.

All the irrational hatred threads are built on foundations of fake news. Sad so many here are as gullible as toddlers, but that is what irrational hatred does.

If Starmer is to meet him in Scotland, how does that make the OP false news?

Do you have any insight on what Starmer is gonna discuss with trump? Maybe he gonna inform Trump of the bad news, because it is quite clear that a big part of the Brits don't want Trump to visit at all.

I'll bet. The danger of Trump dropping some blooming inconvenient truth bombs is real and terrifying to the UK political elite. Remember poor Starmer looking like a deer in the headlamps and being forced to lie about the UK being proud of it's free speech as many conservatives got longer prison sentences for pointing out basic fact than imported child rapists got for raping kids. Peak cringe, wasn't it?🤣

Yes sure, because Trump is the hero of free speech, NOT.

Trump’s aggressive actions against free speech speak a lot louder than his words defending it

Law firms and attorneys who have sued or prosecuted Trump, or represented his adversaries, have been targeted for retribution and concessions. It began with an executive order on March 6, 2025, directed at the U.S.-based global law firm Perkins Coie, which had once represented Trump’s opponent in the 2016 presidential race, Hillary Clinton. A second order was issued on March 14, 2025, against Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison because it once employed an attorney who investigated Trump. Subsequently, at least six other prominent law firms were also targeted.

Several law firms acceded to the president’s demands, agreeing to accept clients without regard to political beliefs, to eliminate DEI practices, and to perform pro bono work valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars for causes Trump supports.

The firms that didn’t accede to the president’s demands had their security clearances removed, access to federal buildings restricted, and were banned from working for federal agencies. A few of the firms that didn’t relent have won temporary injunctions barring the administration’s actions against them.

Ah diddums. Lawfaring wokies getting their just deserts is triggering? Did we not warn that making up BS like Russia x3 to wage lawfare on Trump was a dreadful idea and would backfire spectacularly? Er......yes we most certainly did.

You made your bed. Now lie in it🤣
