While oral sex doesn't directly cause throat cancer, it can increase the risk of HPV (human papillomavirus) infection, which is a known risk factor for certain types of throat cancer. This means that engaging in oral sex could potentially expose someone to HPV, and if the virus persists, it may lead to the development of oropharyngeal cancer.

Over the past two decades, there has been a rapid increase in throat cancer in the west, to the extent that some have called it an epidemic. This has been due to a large rise in a specific type of throat cancer called oropharyngeal cancer (the area of the tonsils and back of the throat). The main cause of this cancer is the human papillomavirus (HPV), which are also the main cause of cancer of the cervix. Oropharyngeal cancer has now become more common than cervical cancer in the US and the UK.

HPV is sexually transmitted. For oropharyngeal cancer, the main risk factor is the number of lifetime sexual partners, especially oral sex. Those with six or more lifetime oral-sex partners are 8.5 times more likely to develop oropharyngeal cancer than those who do not practise oral sex.

Thai bargirls are well known not to practice safe sex and are likely to have this virus.

Do you refrain or is it worth taking the risk?

The No. 1 risk in contracting oral HPV and developing HPV-related throat cancer is having multiple oral sex partners, Dr. Prendes says. Having a higher number of partners increases the risk for both men and women.

Women experience less HPV-related throat cancer, researchers say, because they may have developed an immunological response to fight off cervical cancer. Men don’t have the same immunity.

HPV-related throat cancer patients are usually non-smoking, white, heterosexual males in their 50s or 60s, says Neil Gross, M.D., professor and director of clinical research in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at MD Anderson.

"We used to see mostly smokers. Now we see mostly nonsmokers, and their throat cancers are almost uniformly HPV-related."

Experts are not sure why HPV-related throat cancer mostly strikes white males who don't smoke. Women can also get the disease, but it's less common.

So not gay or Thai gals, who tend to 'smoke' a lot, thankfully, or so I read :cheesy:

There are plenty of infected members on AN.

A mate told me to use cling film......but not the microwave stuff, that has tiny holes in it.

Just passing that on.

Some of their clits are just that big and can reach the back of your throat (if you can get past their balls).

Couldn't this also not have gotten worse with all the chemicals in food ?

I get that you want to push this in the direction of HPV through oral sex,

but considdering authorities measure civid's spiked protein in sewage,

it is fair to say it is in bodily fluids.

Oral sex is inviting a lot of potential trouble not just HPV and cancer.

Please don’t turn this thread into a bickering personal debate.

Cancer is a serious thing and I am trying to save lives here.

Knowledge is key, it could save countless lives by making members think twice before going down on another bargirl.

Life is short as you know, we don’t want to make it shorter.

You have had your say, now move along.

A recent poll showed about half of AN members kiss bar girls.
The more women you perform cunninglickus on the higher your chances of getting it.

And the type of women also increase it and bargirls would have to be amongst the most risky on earth.

Yes.
And a recent AN poll confirmed it.

You'll be OK, I read they have treatment now for most of those, except the dementia part.

NO, men still can't give birth.  But hey, look on the bright side, no monthly period to worry about.
