The Philipines is generally much worse than Thailand for drug availability. Any idea where that powder can be purchased in Bangkok?

This powder is for reconstituting with sterile water for injection.

 

In Thailand, only pre-formulated injection is available (Ozempic or Wegovy). An oral preparation, Rybelsus, is also available.

Thank you for the reply. Is there generic rybelsius available? I was quoted nearly 14,000 baht for a months supply of 14mg name brand rybelsius.

No. No forms of generic semaglutide here. The drug is still under patent.

The cost of 1mg Wegovy/OZempic is same as lower doses. Some people save money by buying higher dose and using "click method" to prorate it so that pen lasts longer. Important of course to calculate correctly. Dosage charts can be found online.

 

In addition to cost, this drug is not without side effects including some potentially serious adverse reactions. Rare, but deaths have resulted. Research this carefully. 

 

Also, once desired weight is reached, can be difficult to maintain it after stopping the drug. Very slow tapering may help but will also need to make permanent dietary and lifestyle changes. 

 

 

I see there is a generic of rybelsius called L’Osem available in Laos.

There is. Made in Laos. I have no idea how reliable in terms of quality control.

 

Seems to be available only in quite high dosage (14mg). Normal starting dose is only 3 mg and many people find that dose is as much as they every need, though experiences do vary. Should certainly not start at 14 mg. And I am not sure it is safe to cut the tablets.

Just like Rybelsus, L'Osem is available in 3/7/14 mg.  The fact sheets say it should not be cut.  My best guess is that this is because the tablet needs to sit in the stomach and dissolve in a small area to create a patch of high acidity to allow the active ingredient to be absorbed.

Even 14 mg Rybelsus/L'Osem is unlikely to be particularly effective for weight loss.  Indeed, the Rybelsus website states "RYBELSUS® is not indicated for weight loss."  That's why the Rybelsus manufacturer (Novo Nordisk) is currently in the process of licensing a 56 mg version.

Plenty of people lose weight with 3 or 7 mg dose of rybelsus. . Includng me. 

 

 

Siam Pharmacy is the cheapest I have found.  I was actually checking around today. They have everything but Wegovy.  However, it may be worth the additional 1000-3,000 baht per month to be taking it under the care of a doctor, if the doctor actually has an interest in patient care.

My homecountry ( EU ) when i do medicin search there are new mg versions approved 1.5 mg ,4 mg, 9 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg last year already but none of these versions are available or for sale yet. Maby they do not have factorycapacity yet or something ?

 

Quite interesting if in Thailand there is going be 56 mg version.. ??

Thailand does not manufacture it.

To update you, I am in Laos and with difficulty have found L’Osem. I am taking it and It seems to be legitimate and effective.

You can purchase lyophilized powdered GLP1 drugs online from Milo-Lab and Uther Pharmaceutical in Thailand and other online peptide vendors here and much cheaper from grey market sellers in China.  (They are just reselling Chinese peptides, but it is more convenient.)

 

It is the real deal, in my experience, but you have to be careful to avoid scammers and make certain that there is Janoshik lab certification for the batch you are buying from China.  There is definitely a learning curve.
