The majority of people love war.  They can never get enough unless they are victims.  Otherwise, they cheer for more war.

Really.  What is man other than a genocidal monkey.

1438 - windows starting to rattle again, after a couple of quiet hours (for lunch I guess -  Pad Thai?).

Here my b/f fed the hordes with something hot out of plastic bags and I got tuna sandwiches.

Especially the soldiers. I read Ernst Juenger, a former soldier in WWI. He wrote it's a good thing war is so terrible or we'd do it all the time because we love it so much. Or words to that effect.

Due primarily to proximity with the F16's mostly being based in Esan RTAF bases, whereas the Grippens are south in Surat Thani.

I gotta say I love Saab. What a sad day when they went bankrupt and those Chinese did not come through to save them.

Is this more of a boomer war? The older Thais around me want to kill all the Cambodians, but the younger ones aren't that interested in any of it.

Crazy all this. Both sides are too much into face to back down. All over a strip of land!

Exactly right..... Childish tit for tat (that unfortunately kills people)....plus most people don't realise this land dispute has being going on for decades.

Indeed, I used to drive a SAAB 900 Turbo coupe 30 years ago, it was a sweet drive.

I saw that on Facebook on "The Nation's" comment section as well.  I highly suspect that headline is completely fake.  There are a lot of Khmers posting completely false things all over Thai news sites for the last few weeks.  When you translate them, it is really not very nice stuff.

The Guardian/AP and others would have added this to their live feed if true as it would be huge news.

In this period of extremely dangerous geopolitical tensions, any outbreak of war could quickly escalate into a wider conflict with international implications, so the situation could become more serious than a simple territorial conflict as has previously occurred.

Therefore, the situation is very serious.

Actually said both. Talk to a local official/headman for shelter or evacuate further away.

If I were in your place I would evacuate and not wait for the bombs in a shelter , because there are no safe havens

Anytime tanks, rocket launchers,Fighter jets are involved is a crisis.

Send in the usual peacemakers ,from past disputes.

Pretty well the whole of Sangkha and the surrounding villages are on the move. Quite a big traffic jam on the road to Surin, traffic at 20-30kmh according to the daughter in law.

Don't you think there need to be some decisions made?

How many, where, what arms will they bring, logistics needed?

People are panicking already in Bangkok

Why?

Cambodia’s missile and rocket artillery systems, like the PHL-03, AR-2, and Type-81, have a range of just 70 to 150 km.

Cooler heads prevail!

A international authority must demand a end to all hostilities ,declare a ceasefire.

 Grievances can be disputed Diplomatically.
