Then "buy USA", as that is the whole point about tariffs.  Invest in USA companies, products, work force.

"Buy Australian" has got fresh legs there.

Maybe we will follow Canada, "Don't Buy American".

Ask the Kentucky liquor industry.

  • I'm not affiliated with any political party but I will agree Trump is doing a much better job than I expected. He tells the mainstream media reporters they're "fake news" DIRECTLY TO THEIR FACE. This

  • My source always has been and always will be common sense

  • The markets prove your post is the nonsense.   When a leftist makes a correct prediction I will start listening. Hasn't happened yet

This topic is too vague.

Every Trump issue under the sun will be debated and lead nowhere.

I'm out ,,,  but good luck.

To me the support for the Dems is shrinking. For the leftists here it's business as usual debating their weak points with leftist sources. Their position gets weaker every day until eventually they don't have a leg left to stand on. And then Vance will be president

NO.  But definitely worse than I expected based on his first time as President of the USA.

Much I as cannot stand Starmer (due to him being a philosophical child of Thatcher), he does have a brain & probably no dementia.

So much nonsense. Trump is destroying the US economy one step at a time. It could be intentional. It could be diabolical. Nobody knows. He could simply be unhinged or following the dictates of a very sinister cabal.

One thing is certain. He is accomplishing very little, he will NOT bring manufacturing back to America, as real inflation is raging at 20% or higher right now, he is causing alot of pain, he is losing support, destroying businesses, and consumer confidence, he does not have a coherent plan, and he is a destructive nimwit.

He's engaging in nothing but massive destruction of the economy, the environment, the land, the seas, the air, the national lands, the wilderness areas, our alliance with close friends and long term allies, aligning himself with dictators and serial killing despots, and tearing down everything that's good about the world. That is just who Trump is.

Globalization made the world great, the manufacturing ecosystems within globalization and low tariffs allowed the US economy to thrive for decades, and he's never going to bring back manufacturing to the US. End of story, just a slogan. The fact that so many people are buying into his nonsense and destruction, is what is truly sad.

Let's see if there is ONE person who will come on here and admit they were wrong about Trump.

Just one.

No, not wrong because I've always said that he is a conman, a compulsive liar and someone with a very low IQ, and nothing I've seen so far has contradicted that.

His announcements about the great deals he has signed, will more than likely be shown to be nowhere near what he has fed to the MAGA followers because when broken down into their respective elements, they really don't stack up.

So he is continuing with his lies, and his latest announcement just verifies that......

‘I never had the privilege of going’ - Trump on not visiting Epstein's island"   Yeah right!

So much of what Trump has 'accomplished' has been done by executive order which remain in effect until a court says they are not -- even without the Supreme Court as in the Birthright order explaining how the Trump administration could be irreparably harmed by an injunction against a policy that is patently unconstitutional.

For me what he's accomplished so far has completely blown my mind. My expectations were just that the US would stop allowing illegal immigrants in and got inflation under control. Not only that, he bombed Iran just like I wanted, brought Europe to their knees, and brought democrat approval down to 19%. Every day is like Christmas and there's still 3.5 years to go. Anyone feel me on this? Holler at me all you non Americans and Americans out there

What a staggeringly successful start......

Trump has launched over 529 air attacks in just five months — nearly matching Biden’s total over four years. Critics argue this “bomb first” approach risks escalating conflicts rather than resolving them.

Despite promises to broker peace in Ukraine and Gaza, Trump’s administration has struggled to deliver lasting results. Talks with Hamas and Iran have stalled, and ceasefire negotiations have broken down.

His unilateral decisions — such as striking Iranian nuclear sites — have raised concerns about bypassing diplomatic norms and straining alliances.

Trump has imposed sweeping tariffs on the EU, Canada, Mexico, and others — up to 30% on some goods. While intended to protect U.S. industries, these moves have triggered retaliatory threats from the EU, hurt U.S. companies like General Motors, which reported a 32% drop in core profit, raised consumer prices on everyday items like orange juice.

Mass deportations and expanded detention policies have drawn criticism for their humanitarian impact.

Trump has issued dozens of executive orders, including attempts to end birthright citizenship —blocked by a federal judge as unconstitutional.

His dismantling of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs has sparked legal challenges and backlash from civil rights groups.

Despite Trump’s own claims of success, polls show over 52% of Americans disapprove of his performance.

Approval ratings on key issues like immigration have dropped to 41%.

The Dollar. This is not just Trump, but I think the US weaponising the USD was one of the biggest mistakes they could have made. It has led to the rise of BRICs, and I think many other nations, especially African ones will be lining up to join. And that is where all the minerals are.

The BRICS has about a dozen nations lining up to be partners. Including Venezuala, which has the world's largest oil reserves.

The G7 is 10% of the world's population. The BRICS is close to 50%.

The G7 has a higher GDP currently. The BRICS is forecast to overtake that GDP quite quickly.

In terms of Purchasing Parity Power, the Brics has a clear lead.

The USD was 70% of the world's trade settlements. It is now middle 50"s.

If it gets below 50%, its status as the world's reserve currency will probably be gone. When that happens, the US will be in for a hard landing with $36 trillion in debt.

IIRC it was created by a Japanese, whose identity is shrouded in mystery.

Trust in a currency is a sine qua non. How many people do you think are going to trust a stream of electrons in cyberspace?

You actually believe that since the creators alias is Japanese that the creator is Japanese. No need to have a discussion with you about it

Well he has certainly managed a number of remarkable achievements over the last six months.

He has managed to effectively make the executive branch - the Presidency - the only real functioning branch of government. The other two, supposedly equal branches of government, Congress and the Courts are reduced to virtual impotence, congress meakly acquiesces to its functions, responsibility and powers being stripped away, and the Courts are equally sidelined by his hold on the Supreme Court.

He has managed to flout the Constitution in so many ways, introducing effectively detention without trial, putting Federal Troops on the streets and opening concentration camps.

He has continued with his multitude of grifting operations to increase his personal wealth, even accepting as a gift a multi million dollar luxury aircraft from a foreign country - so much for the $480 cap on gifts!

He has brought pressure to bear on the media to toe his line, and is attempting to do the same to the Universities. He has destroyed to all intents and purposes many of the arms of government whose work benefited the people, effectively destroyed the health care and social care safety nets. Agriculture is shagged, and the effects of his antagonistic trade policies will increase inflation for US consumers.

Yes, he certainly has produced some notable achievements. He has broken so much, Internationally and domestically that I for one think it likely that the USA will never recover.

Universities are leftist. The media is leftist. Inflation was out of control the last four years. Grocery prices doubled since 2021

Fortunately the effort and time I spent to legally immigrate my wife here won't be wasted by democrat virtue signalers who want student loan debt forgiven and South America to stay here without applying with the USCIS

When wealthy people let the lesser wealthy take the bill every time, then there is something wrong with the system.

And if course with an unpredictable president who with a few press conferences and Twitter, manage to send to marceds up and down as an rollercoaster where only the most wealthy can allow them self to buy, sell, buy sell and buy as the markeds being dictated by your president, it is not hard to criticism him for what's actuall happened.  🎢
