Tattoo Parlour Accused of Inking Teen Without Consent

In a startling incident on August 7th, a father led his 14-year-old son to the Plutaluang Police Station in Chonburi Province to file a complaint against a tattoo parlour. The shop allegedly tattooed the boy without obtaining parental permission.

Dr Theerawat Veerawat, also known as "Lawyer Ice", championed the case and aggressively pursued justice for the young victim.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the parlour frequently inks individuals under the age of 20 without verifying their age or securing parental consent, as reported by 3Plus News.

Such behaviour poses potential legal issues, as it may infringe on child rights and health safety regulations. These actions worryingly indicate neglect for both legal obligations and ethical responsibilities.

The concerned father pointed out that his son lacks the maturity to grasp the long-term repercussions of getting a tattoo. He fears it could affect his son's future opportunities, particularly in fields requiring a clean image, like government positions.

This incident raises questions about the readiness and consequences teenagers face when making permanent decisions.

Lawyer Theerawat has demanded that police scrutinise whether the parlour is operating with the correct licences. Should any violations be found, he insists on strict legal action to deter future incidents. His commitment is to ensure the children's welfare is not compromised by profit-driven enterprises.

Lawyer Ice declared that the future of Thai children holds greater value than financial gain, urging tattoo businesses to uphold ethical standards and prioritise social responsibility alongside financial gain.

The unfolding of this case underscores a significant concern regarding the safety and protection of minors in potentially harmful situations.

Tatts are dumb schitt.   Tatts are only for Japanese yakuza. No one else ought to get them.   Always hate it when my favourite porno girls get inked.

  • Nowadays everybody seems to be tattooed... Even young kids are mutilated for the rest of their lives.. I don't understand why, where does it come from?? In some tribes and countries it is a tradition

The pic in the OP is a stock photo, not the one on the 14 year old.

That's an extensive tattoo and would have required multiple sessions. It is also a poor design layout. That's going to be an expensive removal.

Tattoos are a form of expression and art. You see them on all types and sizes of people worldwide. Everyone in my family besides myself and my 8 year old daughter have them, and I'm thinking she will also as she sees all her siblings with them. I don't see a problem with nice little ones on a shoulder or upper arm but that's me. Even my dad had one. It's a way of freedom and unless they are gang tattoos, they're just a way to show they can do what they like. Many different reasons they get them and it's their deal and has little to do with what kind of person they are, besides the before mentioned gang tattoos. Laws against children having them are necessary of course, as their brains aren't fully developed until their mid twenties to give them a chance to have more level headed thinking.

Think a little how you really look at those types of women and then ask yourself why it would bother you.

It can be a kind of art, but not very long ago tattoos were for certain kind of people, as you mentioned too, gangsters, sailors, hookers, criminals....It can be beautiful a single one, but nowadays you see a lot of people all over the body tattooed and do they think it will be beautiful when they are at an old age and the tattoos are fainting.. It is almost impossible to get rid of them. Again a single small one can be nice

Some can't stop once they have one. My one daughter and son have quite a few and what can I do? As long as they and their partners are okay with them, that's all that matters. You can always cover them up if you need to go to a job interview.

Why would anyone call themself Lawer Ice, is he a sandwich short of a picnic

Everyone's an individual in most ways, even though everyone copies things others do. There isn't a human alive that doesn't copy things another human has done.

Most that get one don't think that far in the future. They just like it now, even though they'll hear you'll get tired of it eventually or it will fade.

Old bodies don't look good anyway.

If I'm alive at 75 I'll be absolutely delighted and how tattoos look would be the least of my worries.

Pretty ignorant, people get tattooed everywhere in the world.

Children should never get tattooed btw.

Tattoos are so passé. However it will take decades for the current crop to die off.

Better go back and have it rubbed out then!

But had the maturity to go to the shop and ask for what he wanted done ?

Doesn't look too bad. Brave boy.

However, this Tattoo nonsense is just fashion showing the downturn of Western culture, now arrived in Thailand.

To destroy your own skin is one of the idiotic things in these days.

The only difference between people with tattoos and those without is that people with tattoos don't care if you don't have any tattoos.

Do what.!!!

I had my first tattoos in the 70's (and some later ones of course) and whilst they are now outdated I would not say I mutilated myself. This is art on you body which is the canvas. You make a decision and live with it.

Real art will never be outdated, as tattoos will ...... indeed the decision you make is for a lifetime, even if you regret it you can't get rid of it anymore, while art you can put away on an attic

Taken several sessions to do that amount & expensive for a 14 year old

Perhaps the parlor did it on credit, Dad didn't pay and has used the complaint to escape payment
