No, data isn't racist. It's the interpretation of that data in racist hands that causes the problem.

Washingto D.C. only has a 39% White population. It stands to reason that the majority in crime statistics are people of color.

Anyone looking at the data and thinking, 'Gee, they're criminals because they're black' is just racist.

You are quoting facts to a cult member it’s a losing proposition unfortunately.

Why should people be allowed to live on sidewalks and whatnot?

Allowed???

Yeah, why don't they live in their houses?

Maybe the most mysterious post ever on AN.

What in the world could this guy be thinking?

Ponder this:

“The law, in its majestic equality, forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal their bread.”

So you can’t answer the question either, typical.

No you won't it goes against the MAGA deflection playbook. The National Guard is not intended to provide housing for the poor, it is intended to kill people for the rich.

They shouldn't.

Perhaps, (and here is an example of thinking outside of the box) they could be rounded up and placed in groups in cages on various golf courses?

This would add a new topical challenge to the game ( water obstacles and sand bunkers are so passé don't you think), and provide yet more opportunities for the manufacturers of cages for people - probably one of the few growth areas in the American economy under its current stewardship!

"Why should people be allowed to live on sidewalks and whatnot?"

Because they are citizens and have a right to use public facilities.

According to your logic it is okay to drive motorized vehicles on sidewalks.  Sidewalks are for pedestrians and roadways are for vehicular traffic.

False equivalence. There are laws supporting safety that limit where you can drive a two ton car. Sleeping in the park is not the same thing.

I don't think many homeless are driving motorized vehicles on sidewalks. That's something Trump would do.

Blacks are 43% of the DC population and cause 97% of the gun murders. Unless you're willing to discuss that inconvenient truth, you can't have a real discussion of the solution to crime.  Which is devastating for the decent Black residents (which are most of them).  Because they're also the ones being killed.  And they're starting to catch on to the Dem pandering that's literally killing them.  That's why a lot of them switched their votes in '24.

Its not obvious, after all, you support terrorism.

1. Jail for criminals

2. Psychiatric help for loons

3. Assistance for those who want it

I bet you lose about 25 % of the homeless when the police move in. DC is legal weed and legal weed attracts what in my day would have been called hippies. They will head to greener legal pastures.

Have you looked at the numbers? How many police and federal agents are there already in DC?

The 200 extra is just for the photo shoot, they need 600 to cover twenty four hours.

Just another lie by trump and the magas lick it all up and regurgitate it.

Nobody has ever accused mm's of thinking clearly.

First reaction? An insult and then the old slogans are being repeated.

I doubt very much the choice of drugs among the homeless is weed.

Around 13 % of all homeless people in the US are ex military, call them loons now and dump them?

Nope....there are rules to using public places.

How’s about turning mar a lardo into a homeless shelter and that other one the felon likes into a drug rehabilitation facility…..I like that!

That do not need the army to enforce.

I think Trump should show some compassion for the homeless by using the Big Beautiful Ballroom he's constructing as a homeless shelter. After all, the White House is called the People's House.

Make it illegal.

That’s how you get fid of guns, right?

Wrong.  What you suggest is how you decrease the number of legally held guns.  Following the Dunblane School shooting in the UK in 1996, stricter gun control laws were implemented that led to a significant decrease in the number of legally held firearms.  Gun crime is still a big issue in the UK; illegally imported firearms, converted blank-firing guns, and 3D-printed weapons.  That said, there are very few mass-shootings in the UK; I believe only 3 since Dunblane.  Compare that with the USA; 16,875 in the same time period.

187 murders in DC last year.

Adjusted for population the rate in the UK would be 7.

Lies, damned lies and statistics.

Lowest rate in 30 years = utterly appalling and unacceptable

You cant compare the population of Washington DC like that. Probably 80+ people commute into the District for work so add in those numbers as they occupy the city the majority of the day and also add and contribute to the crime statistics. you probably have never been there have you?

I’m wondering  why both yo and trump have conveniently forgotten to mention that crime in D.C. is at a 30-year low?
