No, just you that can´t connect the dots. I was just thinking that if you relocate, maybe you will not have so much time or feel the need to post so much rubbish here. Did the baht fall down now?

But it's not I that post any rubbish. Some of your kind just has a hard time comprehending things you know either nothing or very little about, so you are up in arms retaliating. Some of you are prejudiced against foreigners for whatever weird reasons you might come up with and when I put you in your place, you get hostile then go after me in subsequent topics. That you can't figure this out has you thinking my posts are rubbish, when most of them are factual or with high experience and with links to provide evidence. You also think my level of intelligence doesn't match yours when it's much higher.

  • Get the ultimate fix,go back to where you came from for one month! You will be willing to crawl back to Thailand!

  • Actually none of those really bother me, as I came from Texas, which is hotter on average. I don't like the rainy season, as it makes going outdoors impossible for months at a time, at least for awhil

  • Everywhere has negatives and positives, yes the heat can be a strain sometimes (most the time 😀) and Bangkok traffic is bad, but getting out of the city can give a break from the traffic and give some

Quite sane living here for over 20 years.

I'd be going mad if I was living back in Australia.

Cayman Islands sounds good.

Could you afford it there?

Let´s say like this. A person that has a stable economy, would not sit on an open forum and complain over the place he lives. He would do something about his situation instead.

Now you were there again, spreading it like butter. I bet it makes you hard.

All those above are mad.. not me

Been here around 40 years and no I am not going mad. If anything it is just getting better for me by the day.

Stay out of my business and stop antagonizing others. You're well known as a troll and foreigner hater, so your agenda is clear. It's none of your business what I do in my life. Cowards like you hide behind their computers and cause trouble but would never do this in public. You don't need to comment on my posts as again, it doesn't concern you. Keep your ignorance to yourself. Thinking you'll have Thailand all to yourself and your band of cronies isn't going to work, as there's thousands of foreigners here , like myself, that aren't causing any trouble. You aren't the foreigner police.

Bob is back in form today. Just out and out bob. Why try to be someone new? Bob is bob. A loser all the way around.

Let's hope these Rag heads can be identified as they pass through Thai  Immigration on thier way home

No, I argue with a few here that all act the same way, and are well known as trolls. That all of you either argue with each other, insult, and then stick up for each other against others is humorous and noteworthy. And that's the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black.

Traffic is annoying at times.... the rest of your drivel I rarely see other than the masks.

When you first arrive in Thailand, you fall in love with it. Next comes a period of culture shock. Finally, you accept it for what it is.

As another poster said, a trip home will make you look at Thailand more positively.

It's good to get out of Thailand for a while every so often if things are getting you down. Either back home for a spell or to a neighboring country. Then after a few weeks or months away you come back and feel recharged and happy to be back in Thailand. If on the other hand you don't feel recharged and happy to be back in Thailand, then you're in the wrong country and may as well move to where you were feeling happier. Living in Thailand is not for everybody, nor is it necessarily the the best place to be as we get into old age, so living in Thailand may have been the best thing when a guy was 40 or 50 but probably not so good when he's in his 70s or 80s.

I have learned to deal with most of it as it can be much worse in other countries.

But, will never get use to the terrible selfish driving here.  Extreme;y stressful and exhausting.

no, but i wish i could

I'm living like a king on a quarter of the NYC $'s. Everyone is polite to me and in a good mood.

The pineapple is delicious and not a luxury item. I can, and do, eat one of those little apple-sized ones every day.

But I get that you, like me, are a little traffic-phobic. Like you, I need walkability to be happy.

Choose your soi carefully. I like only a two lane road that is somewhat lightly used, has a bit of old trees and good restaurants. So for me, Soi 's 29-39. Not: Ekamai or Thonglor.

When I lived in Nimman, Chiang Mai, it too had a lot of very walkable streets, not including the beautiful college campus.

Off topic tit for tat quarrelling posts deleted. Please be nice to each other. Thank you.

Are you in Bangkok? It can drive you mad.

Consider moving out to ... well, anywhere but Bangkok.

Yes, a lot of things bother me, especially when I spent 2 years straight without going anywhere.

Now I have to get out of here at least 2 or 3 months a year - March/April are a must it's too damn hot/polluted/crowded).

Thailand is still a very good place to live.

March/April, I just crank up the aircons and air purifiers.

Although I will say in the last two years, there seems to have been much less heat and pollution than previous years.

Take a course in defensive driving. It will change your mindset about driving here.

I think there is a lot of mental illness in Thailand.  The "culture" masks it and makes it normal.
