Ban guns before you start praying

You make a good point and I think that really does apply to America, a nation that loves its guns above everything else, and seemingly adores violence, though they're very ready to say "thoughts and prayers" at a moment's notice, with the same gravity and sincerity as saying "let's get together for lunch soon".

Most of the flags sayings are false, as I stated before.

Actually, the NRA did support gun control...

When the Black Panthers thought the right for black people to bear arms was a great idea.

In the so called modern world among western countries, I believe it is right. Or do you want to be compared among every other banana republic?

I meant those things on the flag about the US are mostly false. I had shown the proof beforehand. Not comparing the US to any other country as it stands alone in many ways.

There are some things in which America excels. There are others of which it should be deeply ashamed.

The thoughts and prayers of politicians who are funded by the NRA is one example, the apogee of hypocrisy.

Blacks were never excluded from second amendment rights, except by Democrats in the south.

And "The NRA's shooting range in Washington, D.C., was one of the few public places in the city that was not racially segregated in the early to mid-20th century."

Your last sentence is correct. No other Western country these days could elect someone with so much baggage as Trump.

As is the first sentence correct. That Trump is president is because the other choice we had was too weak.Anti depressant use highest is Iceland, the US isn't in top 30. 49th in life expectancy at birth. Poverty level 105th. Infant mortality rate 173rd. Highest carbon is China, US second. 10th in obesity rate. Poverty level of children Africa and SE Asia. Murder rate 1oth. It does need work in health care.

Multiple studies have shown the risk of homicide doubles for those living there, if a firearm is kept in the house. That includes intruders, domestic disputes, and mistakes in handling.

Doctored statistics by leftist academics. Countless gun owners have defended their family with the gun they owend.

I can just see you telling a burglar to wait while you get your self-defence weapon from a gun safe.

No, whilst some weapons are kept safe, the ones for self defence are taped under the console of the entry hall table-top. And also underneath the bed. Intruders are encouraged to try.

Or do you leave it out for your children to shoot themselves with? Accidentally of course.

Sadly my children now live with my ex-wife. It's a very sad development.

The statistics are quite clear, one is far less likely to be killed by an intruder if they do not have firearms in the house.

You've got to be joking .An intruder comes in armed your only chance is a firearm.

Specifically blaming LGBTs for school shootings is a ridiculous hating claim!

The incident in Wisconsin was the 323rd school shooting in the US this year.

Its a RIGHT spelled out in our founding documents, no need to explain anything. Its not up for debate.

It's a RIGHT spelled out 250 years ago, during the time of the "Wild West", and the colonization of the country. Mature societies evolve.  Obviously, the society of the US of A has devolved during the past 250 years.

Ridiculous LGBT hating post!

There's been around 300 school shootings per year in the US. Your LGBT hating pal cherry picked 5 cases by trans over several years.

Please point out where I expressed hate for LGBTDSREWQA folks?

How many school shootings per year?

Is there a moral right to own a gun? Good luck with trying to use that line of argument to justify gun ownership.

Easy. I am life. I have the right to survive. In fact survival is my highest instinct. A gun is the teeth and claws evolution has deprived me of.

A gun is a tool to ensure my surivival.

You continuously blamed Trans people for school shootings without any evidence that they are more involved in school shootings than others. Prejudice or hate, call it as you wish.

Yes, the shooting capitol of the world.... where the children cannot feel safe in schools, or worshippers in their house of God!

So school shootings are up 800% while the number of guns is up about 10%.

If the problem was guns, should this not correlate more closely?

Coincidentally, the number of trans people is probably up at least 800% over the same time period.

Got it. So pointing out how transgenders, who clearly are mentally ill, have slaughtered children several times recently, thats equivalent to hate. The truth is hate.

Besides your number for last year is misleading since like most of your ilk, you just spot a headline and dont check the facts.

Here is how school shootings are defined.

"All shootings at schools includes when a gun is fired, brandished with intent to harm, or a bullet hits school property for any reason, regardless of the number of victims, time, or day of the week.

How many school shootings this year? Unlike other data sources, this information includes gang shootings, domestic violence, shootings at sports games and afterhours school events, suicides, fights that escalate into shootings, and accidents. https://k12ssdb.org/all-shootings

Thats where your "source" got its stat. Bet the writer didnt check that or more likely, just ignored it.

Bet if they put the National Guard in St. Louis, Chicago and Baltimore, the number of school shootings would drop by 3/4

Ddidnt the constitution come before the "Wild West?

Gun control had its origins in racism and anti semitism, but they ignore that.

2 hours ago, Lacessit said:

IMO the citing of Baltimore is flawed. If it has strict gun laws, what is to stop any citizen from traveling to another state, and obtaining a firearm there? Gun laws in America are a patchwork quilt.

If you are going to cite Port Arthur, get it right. Martin Bryant never was in a mental institution prior to the massacre, and Australia did not close its "nut houses" and throw people on the streets.

The data is undeniable. Australia has only had three mass shootings since Port Arthur, the USA has had thousands, nearly all down to semi-automatic weapons. Yet still Americans avert their eyes from the blindingly obvious.

Sure, you have people who are nuts. Every nation does. You don't understand your gun laws are equally nuts, and are kept that way by the NRA.

You ignorance astounds me - but I am used to i from woke liberals.

Nothing stopping anyone in Baltimore travelling to Mexico either you twit. It is not going to stop anything if they ban guns - which they cannot do because - Constitution.

Bryant was not in an institution because he was not certified insane - unlike now. But Bryant was a nutter from a young age - look it up - he was clearly 'not right'. His Father says the worst decision of his life was buying him a slug gun (air rifle) when 14 - it made him even worse and more dangerous.  He was once observed shooting a bird and then walking over and shooting it in the heard again and again and again.

Gun laws will make no difference - 500 million on the streets now. Stop being soft on the mentally unstable and the problem will greatly reduce.  I can agree with suggestions that limiting assault weapons to club members and professional shooters and those that pass an NRA training course, would be a good idea. But again - Constitution. So IMO the best solution is to detain and assess all mentally unstable people.

Whatever the definition of school shootings, what is your evidence that Trans people are disproportionately more involved in school shootings than others? (apart from the unsourced anonymous meme, not mentioning when the other school shootings occured, posted by your pal NickyLouie?

Exactly right. In Philippines guns are illegal, but there's a whole town which does nothing but manufacture counterfeit untraceable guns. Quite openly.

Exactly - it makes you wonder why they protest and demand a change to the laws when there are laws making it illegal to murder people, to buy, sell and use hard drugs, to drive drunk - and yet that happens all the time.

Then when you think a little you realise it is all gas lighting by the woke liberals. Something they know the conservatives will support and they can fire up their fools to hate the conservatives for supporting it. The Dems are the Party of hate and division - they thrive on discord and hatred - and they fan the flames.  Race, Sex, Guns. Illegals, Crime, etc etc etc - their only policy is the fan the flames of hatred for the views of their opponents. It works on the gullible and silly - but eventually many will grow up and realise they were lied to and being used.

Actually all countries make up the USA, so that means it's the whole world in one place. All nationalities, creeds and races, which does make it unique, and is why it's a great country. It does have problems of course, but it also has the best of everything worldwide all in one place.
