People moaning on social media are a very valuable asset for policy makers and governance. It's gives the ruling politicians the temperature on the public's anger and for those in power who do give a sh..... , it can enable to implement changes to apease public uproar.

 

One would be surprised on the very large amount of politicians, bureaucrats or their aides, who refer to comments on social media, to shape the speeches and decisions of their bosses.

In the past I've posted similar topics, regarding why people move to Thailand then complain about this and that, things like... double pricing, road laws, etc.

 

It strange behaviour to know about the negatives here in Thailand but relocate then complain, makes no sense to me, it's actually a little childish. 

 

Put up with it, it's not perfect but works for the Thai's. If you change things, Thailand will end up the same place you left behind.

 

I like Thailand the way it is, or better still the way it was 

 

I reckon most of the whiners here have a touch of narcissism.

Many of the people on here and other sites complain about everything because they feel they are important and the location they are in does not recognise that. There is a way for them though to overcome this irrational thought process and that is forget what you left behind. If it was that good why did you leave?

I first hit Pattaya 25 years ago, when it was a fun place and very affordable. Since then it's gone down hill, Thais would probablly say this was caused by farangs. They never mention the money and jobs farangs brought to the area. Thai politicians and officials can't leave thing's alone. What happened the old saying if it's it not broken don't fix it. Especially with visas and more recently with banks who can't get it into their heads that it's our money they are playing with.
